Guangdong is a holy place for taking photos. Is it free to take photos of artistic retro scenes?

Guangzhou is not only a modern metropolis, but also maintains a simple urban atmosphere in the context of rapid urbanization.

In Laoguang, there are many places that carry history and memories. Now that the hustle and bustle has disappeared, they stand proudly in the world with their vicissitudes and precipitation, and have become a rare photography resort.

Now, let me take a look at the artistic and retro photography spots in Guangzhou

01

Shiweitang Railway Station

Shiweitang Railway Station was once the starting point of the Guangzhou-Sanshui Railway (Guangzhou Shiweitang-Foshan Sanshui). Buddhist hermits came to the provincial capital and Guangzhou people went to Foshan to visit relatives. They all came and went in Shiweitang.

Today's Shiweitang Railway Station was once the oldest existing railway station in Guangzhou, and was only responsible for freight.

In the early years, before Shiweitang Railway Station became popular, it was a relatively unpopular photo location. Until GEM Deng Ziqi came here to shoot the MV of the song "Single Track", and it suddenly became popular! Maybe when I go there on the weekend, I can meet some little internet celebrity who appears here

Those rusty railway tracks, It’s a good place for concave shapes! I didn’t take photos before Shiwei Pond, but I did take some seriously. Shiweitang is too bright during the day, so the best time to take photos is before 9 a.m. or in the evening.

Shanggucang

Shanggucang is a relatively beautiful building built by Shangguyang Company in the early 20th century. The warehousing port is also a representative of the Thirteenth Line in modern times.

Now, it has been beautifully transformed into a creative industry park. Warehouses with red brick spires have been transformed into bars, restaurants, cinemas, office buildings, etc.

Walking up to Gucang, the yellow brick walls seem to have traveled back to the period of the Republic of China. When night falls, the ancient warehouse looks particularly attractive and enchanting under the bright lights.

The long telephone pole, the white lampshade, and the part connecting the lampshade are beautifully twisted in an arc. The foreign street lamps that can be seen everywhere have a very European feel.

Yongqingfang

Yongqingfang is the first old city micro-renovation project in Guangzhou, so it is named Yongqingfang. This is because the name of its entrance was originally "Yongqing Street", but was changed to "Yongqingfang" after the renovation of dilapidated old buildings.

Blue brick houses, black tile roofs, granite paths, Manchurian windows, and gates... the old street that combines the architectural elements of Xiguan's ancient arcades is very special.

The Cantonese Opera Luang Yu Tang, an important place for Cantonese opera culture in Guangzhou, is also here. If you pass by, you can see some uncles and aunts rehearsing the opera.

Although it has been transformed into a brand new maker community, the atmosphere of survival in old Guangzhou is still retained. The opposites complement each other, forming Yongqingfang.

Must-check-in locations: Bruce Lee’s ancestral home and Guangyin Post Office.

Wuyang Bicycle Factory

Wuyang not only sells ice cream , and a bicycle factory.

Wuyang Bicycle Factory is the oldest local bicycle manufacturing enterprise in Guangzhou. It was founded in 1960 and has been glorious for several years. It was once one of the top five bicycle manufacturers in the world. Guangzhou’s glory and pride.

Wuyang Bicycle Factory is located in a corner of Nancun, Panyu. The beautiful Pearl River can be seen outside the window. Standing in the building, you can see the river view and the other side.

The bicycle factory still retains its old appearance, which is a bit cold and a bit retro. Looking at the collapsed wall tiles and debris filling the entire space, it is incredible that it has become bustling and arrogant.

For those who are interested in literature and art and photography, this is definitely a paradise for taking pictures. Whether it is a small and refreshing style or an industrial style, Wuyang Bicycle Factory can satisfy you.

Get off at Nanshi West Road Terminal and go straight to No. 28 Nanshi Road

Shicui House

I believe many people don’t know that in the noisy Shangxiajiu, there is a large house that is almost forgotten. It is both a Xiguan mansion and a Western-style building. It is full of old-style mansion style. Now part of the first floor has been turned into a warehouse and dormitory.

The ceilings of the Shicui House have elegant gray carvings, the floor is paved with colored ceramic tiles and cement flower-stepped tiles, there are golden lacquer carvings on the beams, and the iron bars on the window sills are made of Western iron art, with excellent textures. All this shows us the hustle and bustle of the former owners.

But after the passage of time, we cannot know who the owner of the house is, and the mystery of her life experience has never been solved. This place has been listed as a cultural protection unit as a building with historical and artistic value. The retro-style photos taken here are very impressive.
