What are the commonly used iPhone photography apps?
VSCO Cam
VSCO Cam is the most commonly used photo editing application, mainly using its filters (Presets) to color photos. This app has more than 10 simulated film filter series with different styles, such as high-saturation film C series, low-saturation emotional color M series and F series, classic black and white B series, faded black and white X series, etc. VSCO Cam is very simple to use. There are no complicated interfaces and functions. Once you take a photo and add a filter, you can share or output it directly. In addition, it has some small functions, such as cropping, sharpening, contrast and exposure adjustment, etc.
Filterstorm
Filterstorm uses this application as a simplified version of Photoshop for iPhone. In addition to common tools such as cropping, contrast, saturation, exposure adjustment, and sharpening, this app also has multi-layer editing and simple masks that are less common in post-production applications on mobile phones. Used together, these two functions can adjust the brightness, saturation, curve contrast, etc. of parts of the photo. It is especially useful for editing black and white photos. In fact, traditional darkrooms do similar things, but they are moved to mobile phones.
|Mextures
Mextures is a photography post-production software. Its biggest feature is that it can add texture effects, light leakage and gradient effects of different tones to photos. For example, you can age the photo and add some dust to make it look like it was scanned from old film. All effects in Mextures can be superimposed and used, and the degree of DIY is quite high. This is still quite different from VSCO Cam. The multi-layered superimposed effects that you have adjusted yourself can be saved as formulas and reused in the future. Mextures also provides some ready-made recipes, which you can use directly if you want to save trouble.
Union
Union is a small tool that specializes in double exposure. Double exposure works are mainly made with this application. In addition to being able to overlay and expose two photos, it also has a simple masking tool that can erase unnecessary parts of the layer. Use it with Mextures and VSCO Cam, and the effect is pretty good.
