There is plenty of light. Why did the surveillance camera become black and white?

There are two reasons for this:

1. The photosensitive part of a camera is usually a passive photosensitive resistor or diode on the optical panel. If it is blocked, it is easy to feel no light, which leads to turning the camera on in black and white.

2. When the camera shoots a black object, because the reflected light is not enough, it is easy for the photosensitive part to feel the light, resulting in the driving camera becoming black and white.

Extended data:

Turn black and white at night to start the infrared color to black function. Think about it, when you can't see anything with your eyes, the camera can still image, which is very good. If your light is good enough, it will automatically switch back to the color image. Of course, if your light is normal, you can also set it to mandatory color in the advanced parameters.

Black and white images with the same resolution are smaller than color images. In order to facilitate transmission, acquisition and processing, and save storage space, surveillance cameras are mostly adjusted to black and white mode even if they are in color.
