Behind-the-scenes tidbits of the deep sea campaign

● This film is the first 3D thriller in Asia and the first IMAX 3D movie in Korea.

● The film took 1800 shots in three years, of which the special effects shots occupied almost all, and the production cost was 1 100 million RMB. When attending the international film festival, we reached pre-sale agreements with 46 countries including Germany, France and India only through trailers.

"Eclipse" in the film cost 2 billion yuan to produce equipment, using 18 sets of scenes and computer special effects. The simulation degree is 99%, but before the production, no one in the crew really saw what the probe ship looked like.

● Except for the part where the actors enter the scene, 80% of the scenes adopt green screen technology. These include the vast sea in the "seventh mining area", the "eclipse" and the deep-sea monster. Everything is supplemented by CG technology after the actual shooting.

● Ha Ji Won made a lot of preparations before filming the film starring him-he did 8 hours of physical training such as running and swimming every day, and also obtained professional licenses such as diving and motorcycle driving.

● The action scenes and dangerous stunts in the film are all done by Ha Ji Won himself.
