Gongtangcang Living Buddha, during his tenure as vice-president of China Buddhist Association and Gansu Buddhist Association, assisted the government to implement the policy of freedom of religious belief, actively guided Tibetan Buddhism to adapt to socialist society, and made positive contributions. The living Buddha in Gongtangcang has profound Buddhist attainments, and has held many important Dharma meetings, especially the 10th Falun Dharma Meeting held in July of 1994, which is the most famous and praised by monks and secular believers. Living Buddha in Gongtangcang often goes deep into Tibetan areas, making use of various opportunities to publicize the government's ethnic and religious policies to religious believers, educate them to love their country and religion, and actively seek benefits for the people. He also played an important role in mediating disputes in Gansu, Qinghai and Sichuan provinces. He is very concerned about and supports the development of culture and education in ethnic areas, and has donated money to local schools and poor farmers and herdsmen many times. He also used his influence at home and abroad to do a lot of practical things to revitalize the national economy and accelerate the development of ethnic areas.

From 65438 to 0986, Gongtangcang Living Buddha led a Buddhist delegation from China to attend the 15th World Buddhists Friendship Association held in Nepal. 1988 participated in the world peace conference held in Moscow; 1990 was invited to Moscow to attend the "Global Forum on the Development of Human Environment", and in September of the same year led a delegation from China to attend the "World Religions for Peace"; 1993 was invited to give lectures in the United States. In these international activities, he introduced China's policy of freedom of religious belief to foreign friends and the great achievements made since the reform and opening up, publicized the excellent traditional culture of the Tibetan people in China, and played a positive role in promoting friendly exchanges between China and overseas Buddhist circles. As a staunch patriot, a famous social activist, and a Buddhist leader deeply respected and loved by religious believers, he devoted his life to patriotism and religion, devoted himself to the great cause of national unity and social progress, actively promoted Buddhism, made outstanding contributions to the development of Tibetan Buddhism, the communication between Chinese and Tibetan Buddhism, and the restoration and development of China Buddhism, and enjoyed a high reputation among Tibetan people and all walks of life.

During the serious illness of Gongtang Cangdan Bawangqu, the leaders of the Central United Front Work Department, the State Ethnic Affairs Commission, the State Administration for Religious Affairs, the Chinese Buddhist Association and other relevant departments were very concerned. On February 28th, Director Wang of the Second Bureau of the United Front Work Department of the Central Committee, entrusted by Minister Wang Zhaoguo of the United Front Work Department, Director of the State Ethnic Affairs Commission and Director Ye Xiaowen of the State Administration for Religious Affairs, made a special trip to visit the living Buddha in the court warehouse of Labuleng Temple in Xiahe. After the death of the living Buddha in Gongtangcang, Pagbalha Geleg Namgyai, Vice Chairman of the National People's Congress and Vice Chairman of the Chinese Buddhist Association, Zhao Puchu, Vice Chairman of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and President of the Chinese Buddhist Association, Wang Zhaoguo, Vice Chairman of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and Minister of the United Front Work Department, Li Dezhu, Director of the State Ethnic Affairs Commission, Ye Xiaowen, Director of the State Administration for Religious Affairs, Erdeni Quejijiebu of the 11th Panchen Lama, the United Front Work Department of the Central Committee, the State Ethnic Affairs Commission, the State Administration for Religious Affairs, and the Chinese Buddhist Association sent letters. The relevant departments and leaders of Gansu Provincial Party Committee, Provincial Government, Provincial People's Congress and Provincial CPPCC sent wreaths. Member the National People's Congress Standing Committee (NPCSC), Vice President of the Chinese Buddhist Association and President of the Gansu Buddhist Association, Gamuyang Lausanne Jiumei Tutankejinima, a living Buddha, made a special trip from Beijing to Xiahe when the living Buddha in kungtangcang was seriously ill, and arranged the rescue medical work for the living Buddha. After the death of the living Buddha, he personally guided and presided over the chanting activities of monks and believers in Labrang Temple. Yang Danzhu Living Buddha, Long Rensanggai Living Buddha, Saicang Living Buddha and 326 Sino-Tibetan monasteries in Gansu Province all sent representatives to Labrang Temple to pay their respects. Monks in various colleges of Labrang Temple recite scriptures and pray all day; Every day, tens of thousands of religious believers go to Labrang Temple to pay tribute to Hada in front of the living Buddha in kungtangcang.

Master Rong Kai, vice president of Gansu Buddhist Association, Master Li Yin, vice president of Lanzhou Buddhist Association, and Yingba Lama, vice president, led four disciples of Lanzhou Buddhism to visit Labrang Temple.

On the morning of March 6th, 1 1, the mourning ceremony for the living Buddha in Gongtangcang was held in the auditorium of Xiahe County Government. Jia Muyang, Deputy Secretary of Gansu Provincial Party Committee, President of the Provincial Buddhist Association, Living Buddha, Yang, Deputy Director of the Provincial People's Congress, Cui, Vice Governor of Lausanne and London Qunge, Chairman of the Provincial Political Consultative Conference Yang, Vice Chairman and Minister of the United Front Work Department, La and Yang Zhengang, Procurator-General of the Provincial Procuratorate Li Dekui, Secretary-General of the Provincial Buddhist Association, heads of relevant departments, Gannan Prefecture and seven counties and one city under its jurisdiction, Aba Prefecture of Sichuan Province, Huangnan Prefecture of Qinghai Province, etc.

At 2 pm on March 6, a symposium on "Silence of Living Buddhas in Gongtangcang" was held in Gansu Buddhist College. The relevant leaders of the provincial government announced the "Reply of Gansu Provincial People's Government on Agreeing to the Reincarnation of the Sixth Living Buddha Gong Tangcang Danbawang". Participants said that the death of the living Buddha in Gongtangcang made the four disciples of Buddhism lose a wise and compassionate guru and a kind living Buddha, which was a great loss for the Buddhist community. Now the provincial government has agreed to reincarnate the 6th kungtangcang Living Buddha, which fully reflects the respect and care of the Party and the government for Tibetan Buddhism, and is also a concern for the broad masses of religious believers. We strongly support and sincerely thank you. We pray that the living Buddha will come back after reincarnation, and we will not give up the group life, Do not forget your initiative mind and benefit all sentient beings. In addition, on March 6th, the Buddhist community in Lanzhou held a grand memorial service for the living Buddha of the 6th Kuntang Cangdan Bawangqu at Junyuan Temple in Wuquan Mountain. Four disciples from more than ten monasteries in Lanzhou, including Jade Buddha Temple, Fayu Temple, Mani Temple and Sleeping Buddha Temple, attended the ceremony.

At 3: 00 a.m. on March 10, the living Buddha of Bawangqu in Gongtang Cangdan presided over the tea ceremony in Gongtang Ang, and the living Buddha of Mudaocang in Labrang Temple.
