How to learn English?
The reason why you need to find yourself a practice partner is to overcome the language barrier and practice. However, I am more familiar with the composition of English communication. If I have the conditions, I can participate in community-based English exchange learning, and I can be more integrated into this learning environment when communicating with many people who use English as their living language or communication language. It is not only of great help to the shaping of English thinking mode brought by one's own language and long-term communication.
2. Learn to balance listening and speaking.
When practicing the dialogue, try to balance listening and speaking, and make a decision on the premise of ensuring the smooth progress of the dialogue. After all, listening and speaking is the premise of improving English level. Only when listening and speaking reaches a certain level can English level be improved.
3. Record your dialogue exercises.
Recording is a good way to make full use of conversations with native speakers. When listening again, you can evaluate your pronunciation and pay attention to what needs to be improved. You can also watch the dialogue, record new words or misunderstandings and prepare questions for the next meeting.
Surround yourself with English.
Another skill to improve your English is to immerse yourself in it as much as possible, such as watching English movies and TV programs. If necessary, watch the same subtitled programs over and over again to make sure you can learn. In fact, most people will find that constant repetition will help them understand more, help them understand rhythm and intonation, and through constant review, it will produce an imitation effect, so as to achieve the idea of letting your muscles remember, so that the next time you come into contact with the pronunciation of similar words, it will be timely.
5. Practice through American TV programs and music.
Listen to English music and sing along. Music is one of the best tools for learning intonation and pronunciation. Listening and singing can also help you remember words and phrases (if the songs are easy to understand) and help you pronounce English rhythms in a more natural way.
By unconsciously imitating a singer, you will learn to sound like a native English speaker. Suzanna Vega's Tom's Dinner is a very suitable song for students from non-English-speaking countries or English-speaking countries, because it describes daily scenes and behaviors in simple language. Movies are a better choice for learning English. You will learn vocabulary, idioms, slang, pronunciation and listening by watching movies. Be sure to use my photography skills!
read aloud
When you have no conversation partner, reading aloud is a good way to practice oral English. Reading aloud gives you a chance to focus on pronunciation and rhythm without worrying about words. Be sure to practice understanding the material. Some students look for videos with transcripts online. For example, many TED talks contain verbatim records of conversations. Read your report card aloud. You can check your pronunciation by talking to the person you are talking to.
7. Practice talking to yourself
Talking to yourself is a very effective way to improve English. By talking to yourself, you can translate your ideas into English more fluently. Although you practice alone, it is also a relatively stress-free practice, because no one will hear your mistakes, so you should know.
8. Go abroad
If you want to learn more English skills, I think it's best to go abroad and immerse yourself in a pure English communication environment. Within two years, there is basically no problem in English conversation.
9. Know your real needs of learning English.
Everyone's purpose of learning English is different. Knowing their real needs of learning English helps to understand their learning purpose, in short, learning motivation. As long as there is motivation to learn, people's potential will be stimulated, and the more they learn, the more excited they will be.
10. Establish self-confidence in learning
Many children's shoes that have just started to learn English are often discouraged because they can't see the effect in a short time, and it is easy to retreat. Some children's shoes don't even have the talent to learn English, but in fact, the most taboo in learning English is to fish for three days and dry the net for two days. The effect is not to waste time and energy. Therefore, we should set phased goals for ourselves, constantly achieve a goal, help them build their self-confidence in learning, and achieve the goal of persistence.
