Puning Temple in Chengde 1

It was founded at the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty (196 ~ 220) and has a history of over 1700 years. It was called Kannonji in ancient times, Eianji in Song Dynasty, Bailin Temple in Jin Dynasty and Bailin Temple in Yuan Dynasty. It is said that in the Yuan Dynasty, there were cypress trees in the temple, so there was "Berlin".

Berlin Zen Temple has always been the center of Buddhism around Zhao Yan in ancient times. Monk Sanzang, a famous monk in the Tang Dynasty, studied here for more than a year before going to India to study abroad. There are many eminent monks in the history of Berlin Zen Temple, including Zhao Zhou Zen Master in Tang Dynasty, Gui Yun in Song Dynasty, Yue Zen Master and Zen Master in Yuan Dynasty. Among them, Zhao Zhou Zen master is a Zen master with ancient and modern light, and enjoys a good reputation at home and abroad.

Today, the Berlin Zen Temple has been renovated and the clan style is superior. Many buildings in the temple have been rebuilt, such as Wei Tuo Hall, Puguang Mingtang, guanyin temple, Wumenguan (Zen Hall) and Wanfo Building. , magnificent, full of ancient charm.
