The treasure of St. Peter's cathedral

St Peter's Cathedral has three treasures of the town hall:

"sculpture" mourning "one.

? This is Michelangelo's famous work. Jesus lies in Mary's arms. The virgin was calm and peaceful, her eyes drooped and she looked at Jesus in her arms with infinite sadness. Her clothes are wrinkled. The expression of the virgin Mary is very sad. She has a belt on her chest with Michelangelo's own name on it. He was only 24 when he carved this sculpture. No one believes that he carved it. He carved his name on the belt of the Virgin Mary at night when no one was watching. Who would have thought that such a vivid and vivid image was actually outlined with stiff marble? This is Michelangelo's only signature work and the only signature work in the history of world sculpture.

Second: "Giant Bronze Canopy"

? The church is cross-shaped, with a bronze canopy at the middle junction. Sunlight shines through the stained glass window from the big dome, making the bronze altar in the center golden. This is bernini's masterpiece and the largest bronze sculpture in the world. This is the skeleton of St. Peter. The bronze canopy is supported by four spiral copper columns. It is five stories high and very spectacular. The ever-burning lamp has been on the semi-circular railing in front of the canopy. Just above the canopy is the church dome, and at the lower end is the Pontifical altar. Just below the canopy of the underground palace is the tomb of St. Peter, where the first pope in history was located. The bones are hidden under this canopy, and only one person in the world can go down, that is, the current Pope.

? Only the Pope can celebrate mass in front of the pilgrims of Asahi on this altar. There must be a spiritual shock to worship here.

Third: The Throne of St. Peter

? This is also the work of bernini. Although it is not as big as a giant bronze canopy, it is a gold-plated bronze sculpture with many precious stones, which is very gorgeous. At the end of St. Peter's Cathedral, the throne is a glittering group of huge bronze sculptures. Above the throne is a radiant shrine of glory and a wooden chair decorated with ivory ornaments. There are two little angels on the back of the chair, holding the keys to heaven and the triple crown of the Pope. The whole throne is resplendent and magnificent.

? Peter's Square is located in front of St. Peter's Cathedral and is the most famous square in Rome. This square, which embodies the essence of each era, was designed by bernini, a world-famous architect, and was built in 1 1 year.

? The square is surrounded by semi-circular corridors, with black pebbles on the ground and semi-circular marble colonnade on both sides, which is harmonious and magnificent. The colonnade has 284 columns and 88 square columns. Divided into four columns, forming three corridors. On the platform facing the square at the top of each stone pillar, there is a marble statue with a height of 3.2 meters and 140 saints. They are all martyrs in the history of the Roman Catholic Church, with different expressions and lifelike.

? In the center of the square is an obelisk with a fountain on each side. As one of the most sacred symbols in the Catholic world, St. Peter's Square and St. Peter's Cathedral represent Jesus' body and open arms, ready to embrace believers from all over the world.

Strangely, standing on the circular white marble between two fountains and looking at the colonnade on both sides, only the first row of four rows of stone pillars can be seen, which is the perspective effect of bernini's ingenious design. There is a Pope's study in the building facing St Peter's Church on the right. Every Sunday at noon, the Pope appears in the second window on the right side of the top floor to pray for the people gathered in the square.
