The State Environmental Protection Administration held the awarding ceremony of the 2006 Global Prize for 10 individual winners and 3 global prize group winners. The winners of this year's "Earth Award" are all ordinary people who are interested in environmental protection. As a volunteer concerned about wetland protection, Hong Zhao, president of Hebei Earth Daughter Environmental Volunteers Association, organized large-scale volunteers to plant trees in Hengshui Lake Nature Reserve from 200 1 to publicize wetland knowledge and wildlife protection law. However, Hong Zhao likes this bag very much, which contains many of her treasures. For example, a chopstick bag, a pair of chopsticks and a spoon are put in a slender bag. When eating out, she refused to use disposable chopsticks and used her own tableware.

Hong Zhao's handkerchiefs are also "different" because girls seldom use handkerchiefs nowadays. All kinds of scented printed paper towels in the market attract more people's attention, which is convenient and fashionable to use. Hong Zhao keeps away from those paper towels and advocates using handkerchiefs.

This cloth bag also contains some environmental protection materials. Hong Zhao is the earliest environmental protection volunteer in Hengshui, Hebei Province. The city where she lives has a natural wetland-Hengshui Lake. Because of Hengshui Lake, Hong Zhao has done a lot of social activities, so he is widely known and won many honors, such as the second "Daughter of the Earth" environmental protection award, the China Youth Volunteer Activity Gold Award and so on.

However, it is Mr. Liang Congjie, the president of Friends of Nature, who has really raised Hong Zhao's environmental protection concept to another height. Mr. Liang once warned her that people without altruism would not pay attention to environmental protection. Hong Zhao said: "Teacher Liang's view of the world, the principle of being a man and his attitude towards environmental protection have always touched me and made me realize that it is not enough to advocate environmental protection by speaking and writing, but also by doing."

In the past, Zhao Hong's family changed buildings, but his parents insisted on not decorating them. They are used to a simple life, so it is better to say it simply. At that time, Hong Zhao still felt humiliated and shabby in front of his colleagues and neighbors. Now it seems that his parents' simplicity is just a way to advocate economy.

Once, Hong Zhao went to eat in a large restaurant and found that the restaurant used disposable chopsticks. Hong Zhao suggested that the boss use disinfection cabinets and reusable chopsticks, which is beneficial to environmental protection and saves money. A week later, Hong Zhao happened to walk into this restaurant, and was very happy to find that they all changed to reusable chopsticks.

Today, this hotel has insisted on not using disposable chopsticks for five years, and this environmental protection practice has also affected several hotels around it.

Hong Zhao often goes to primary and secondary schools in Hengshui City to preach environmental protection knowledge. Once, she took primary school students to visit the "garbage mountain" in Hengshui City, where about 150 tons of domestic garbage had to be treated every day. The garbage mountain covering an area of 120 mu shocked primary school students. Hong Zhao divided the children into several groups, and arranged such small topics as "How many trucks of garbage are pulled here a day" and "How many tons of garbage is there in a truck" for the children to pass and dispose of the garbage. These children wrote down their personal feelings. Hong Zhao helped the children write an environmental white paper. Hong Zhao said that children's feelings are the most direct, and their words are unpretentious. This activity influenced many children's ideas.

Zhao Hong has a friend who is very picky about washing her face. She first wets it with water, then massages it with facial cleanser for a while, and finally washes it with water. During the whole process, she never turned off the tap. Hong Zhao asked her to use the washbasin. As a result, she wasted a big basin of water every time she washed her face. Under the influence of Hong Zhao, this friend changed a small basin to catch water and wash his face. After washing his face, he turned to wash the mop.

Environmental protection has greatly changed the way of life in Hong Zhao. She no longer accepts multiple packaged products, but carries a large cloth bag when shopping. At first, many people didn't understand and looked at her like a monster. Gradually, she found that people began to understand and appreciate her behavior.

Great changes have taken place in this family under the influence of Hong Zhao. All the water in the house is reused, and the water for washing clothes is used to mop the floor and flush the toilet. Zhao Hong's family has an automatic washing machine. Later, everyone said that it was too water-consuming, so it was simply used as a semi-automatic machine.

Because she advocates economy and environmental protection, Hong Zhao feels very fashionable. She found that some friends around her had begun to learn from her and used the kind of cloth bag called "treasure bag".
