What is a UV mirror? What is the function of uv mirror?

UV mirror, also known as ultraviolet filter, refers to the filter used in digital cameras.

Function:

① It is used to absorb ultraviolet rays with wavelength below 400 nm, and has no filtering effect on other visible/invisible rays.

②UV lens can protect the lens surface from direct contact with the external environment.

(3) Suitable for shooting in seaside, mountains, snowfields and open areas, which can weaken the blue tone caused by ultraviolet rays.

④ For digital cameras, the interference of ultraviolet rays on CCD can be eliminated, which is helpful to improve the definition and the effect of color reproduction.

Extended data

The way to distinguish the quality of UV mirror should be to regard it as a mirror on a black background: what can't be illuminated is a good UV mirror; UV mirrors that can reflect their own shadows are all low-grade. The clearer the shadow, the worse the lens and coating.

UV mirrors are usually colorless and transparent, and some will appear purple or purplish red at a specific angle because of antireflection films.

UV mirrors can usually be divided into ordinary UV(O) filter, MRC-UV(O), L37 Super pro professional UV mirror, L4 1 Super pro professional UV mirror, PRO 1D UV(W), PROTECTOR protective mirror and so on.
