Don't film cameras pay attention to pixels?

Film cameras have no pixels.

Pixels are only used for digital cameras. Simply put, pixels are a large number of photosensitive points arranged on the photosensitive elements of digital machines. Each point records the intensity and color of the light it feels, thus having an impact.

Film is sensitized by a layer of emulsion coated with silver halide, and images are recorded by photochemical action, rather than artificial pixels.

So pixels are only used in digital computers. As for the imaging quality of film, it is related to the quality of film, and the imaging quality of the same brand with different ISO (sensitivity) is also different. The higher the ISO is, the more noise will be produced during imaging (usually called granularity in film), but it also depends on the process of developing film, development time, development temperature and the quality of developer and fixer.

Extended data

Film cameras, which are traditional cameras, are divided into monocular cameras and binocular cameras. Film cameras only use negatives. Therefore, in terms of cost, consumers need to buy negatives, develop them into photos, and also need to develop negatives and photographic paper.

There is not much difference in working principle between digital camera and film camera. Both of them form an object image on the focal plane through the lens.

Film camera uses silver salt (mainly silver bromide AgBr) photosensitive material attached to plastic film as carrier. After shooting, the film has to be developed to get the photos. When shooting, it is impossible to know whether the shooting effect is good or not, and the photos cannot be deleted.
