Behind the scenes of Tao Li Jie

"Peach and Plum Tribulation" is artistically unique. The structure of the film is novel, changing the straightforward narrative technique commonly used in Chinese films in the past, and instead using flashbacks, which enhances the artistic effect. The film is also regarded as China's first film created using sound film techniques, making sound a truly expressive means of film art for the first time. The film's episode "Graduation Song" was later recorded by EMI and has been circulated to this day.

Although Tao Jianping, played by Yuan Muzhi, and Li Lilin, played by Chen Bo'er, still have traces of stage performances, their grasp of the characters' personalities is relatively accurate.

The video was revised many times during the production process. With the joint assistance of Xia Yan, A Ying, Tian Han, Zheng Boqi and others, director Ying Yunwei, cinematographer Wu Weiyun and editor Chen Xiangxing, after two months of reshoots, re-editing and dubbing, the total took nine months Month, finally the filming was completed.
