This class of ship is a destroyer specially designed by the US Navy for Aegis combat system and missile vertical launch system. The combat system can simultaneously search and track hundreds of targets at high speed, and can simultaneously guide 12 missiles to intercept air targets. The reserve of "standard" ship-to-air missiles is sufficient to deal with saturation attacks. The third "horizon" level

The British Ministry of Defence plans to allocate 5.5 billion pounds to build six Type 45 destroyers. Besides the Brave, the other five destroyers are the Intrepid, the Diamond, the Jiaolong, the Defender and the Duncan. All six warships will be completed by 2009.
