Shanghai No.56 Middle School is full of vitality in the reform. For five years in a row, it has been rated as an advanced school for middle school students in Shanghai, an advanced unit for sports work in Yangpu District, an advanced school for swimming in Yangpu District, and an award-winning unit for swimming popularization. 1999, the school won the advanced unit of "Implementation Measures of National Physical Training Standards", the junior high school team won the first place in 1997, the senior high school team won the first place in the district in early 1998, the second place in Shanghai Kirin Cup Invitational Tournament, the second place in Shanghai Nike Cup in 2000, and the student women's football team won Shanghai.
