How does holography confuse the real with the fake?
Broken glass and the loud noise of broken glass falling to the ground shocked people!
This is a scene in front of the big glass window of a jewelry store in the United States one night in the late 1970s. There are many colorful and dazzling precious jewels on display in the window. When several robbers saw the treasure, they broke the window glass and reached for the jewelry. ...
The window was broken, but the robbers were shocked-the jewels inside were gone, as if they had disappeared! The robbers who thought they had met some secret organ were so scared that they ran away and disappeared in a blink of an eye!
What's going on here?
It turns out that the window is a "holographic" negative of jewelry, and the robbers who don't understand "high technology" are cheated by realistic three-dimensional images.
What is holography?
Ordinary photography can only record the intensity (amplitude) information of the light on the surface of the scene, so the photo only reflects part of the light information and is a plane image of two-dimensional space.
Using laser holography technology, we can record all the information of the scene surface light, including intensity information and phase information. Therefore, it can realistically reproduce the three-dimensional space of the object. The scenery photographed from several angles by holographic technology is vivid and has a realistic three-dimensional effect. More interestingly, when the viewpoint moves up and down, left and right, people seem to see the real object, and even can see the hidden side of the original object from the side. So facing a hologram, we can not only see the front of the scene, but also see the side and back of the scene.
The fidelity of lensless holography makes people think that they can faithfully record the "shame" of ordinary lens photography.
