The source of a person's troubles depends on the level of consciousness.
When we look at this all-encompassing world, we will have endless troubles. It is undeniable that when we try our best to solve one troublesome thing, another will appear at any time. For you, it bothers you, but it may not be an annoying thing for him, so everyone has different talents, different levels of consciousness, different levels of spirit and different ways of looking at things.
Speaking of people who are enlightened and have a deep spiritual realm, people often admire their big pattern and broad mind ... Compared with ordinary people, those who are highly enlightened will look at things more indifferently and calmly, so how do those who are different from ordinary people do it? This time, I will talk about those people with high spiritual realm through the thoughts of those great sages. What kind of mysterious picture books are hidden behind them?
The philosopher Spinoza once said: "Ignorants are not only restless because of various external factors, so that they can never enjoy the peace of mind." He also knows nothing about god and everything. If he doesn't suffer, he can't live. If he doesn't suffer, he doesn't exist. " A wise man, within the scope of his wisdom, is calm, because he realizes that God, everything and himself exist all the time because of some eternal inevitability, and he can enjoy the peace of mind. "
In Spinoza's philosophical system, he thinks that the purpose of philosophy is to obtain the highest happiness. This kind of happiness is not secular happiness, not the satisfaction of fame and fortune, but a kind of spiritual happiness and spiritual happiness.
Spinoza made a living by polishing optical lenses. At that time, many people thought his job was very hard, but in his view, doing this job was a very happy thing. He enjoyed it because she got rid of many shackles in the world, and it was precisely because he realized the essence and appearance of the world that he was more detached, freed from the secular ideas of ordinary people and lived happily. There is a saying in the history of philosophy: "Spinoza is grinding his glasses, so the world can see the world through his glasses."
Spinoza practiced one of her own ethical concepts, that is, freedom and understanding of inevitability. This view means that the higher a person's cognitive level, the more thoroughly he grasps the laws of nature, and the more free he is in front of nature. If he wants to be truly free, he must have a real understanding of objective inevitability. When we talk about freedom, our first reaction is that freedom is not bound by anything. Just like birds flying freely in the sky, fish swimming freely in the sea. If we want to gain a kind of freedom, we must be able to control the objective inevitability of natural laws. The deeper we know about nature, the more we know how to follow the law and acquire a kind of morality. The higher the level of happiness, the easier it is to be detached and relieved.
Spinoza was able to enjoy himself in such a difficult living environment and make his own philosophical achievements because he was freed and gained a free state of mind. I said in my previous article: "The essence of freedom is peace of mind". Many times, people feel not free because the misfortunes encountered in life disturb their inner peace, so they feel not free. Therefore, we should recognize this misfortune and see what deeper internal laws are hidden behind it.
Many times, everything has a cause and effect, and every cause has a result. The misfortunes in life are all natural, so the deeper you grasp nature, the higher your understanding of nature, and you can get rid of such misfortunes and inner dilemmas. This is Spinoza's clear statement, and the freedom of ethical thought is the understanding of inevitability. We can see his thoughts, and this freedom in ethical sense is based on epistemology. His level of understanding of nature determines his freedom in front of nature. In the broad sense of ethics, through the understanding of nature and the grasp of natural and objective laws, we can understand human nature and emotion, reach the realm of perfection and beauty, and obtain freedom and happiness.
Spinoza once said: "The more people know about the cause and effect of things, the more they can grasp the consequences of events and reduce the pain caused by them."
And philosophy can help us better understand the cause and effect of things. Einstein once said, "The best way to solve a problem is to make it no longer a problem."
Philosophy is thinking about the problem itself. When the problem is no longer a problem, there is no need to solve the answer.
Philosophy and psychology have similarities and differences. Their similarity lies in that they all belong to human mind, but the difference lies in that psychology looks for a solution after this problem appears and finally gets the answer; Philosophy pays more attention to the problem itself-why this problem appears. When thinking about the root of the problem with philosophy, then there is no need for an answer, because when the problem itself is not established, is it necessary to need an answer?
For example, when a person is not confident, it often stems from the heart of inferiority. Psychologists will tell him how to heal themselves and how to deal with them when people feel inferior; Philosophers will tell him that a person's inferiority often stems from "no self-knowledge." So the real treatment is not "inferiority complex", but "ignorance". Inferiority and arrogance come down in one continuous line, and the only cure is to "know yourself". As a person knows himself more and more, inferiority and pride will decrease, and then gradually disappear. People are expensive because they know their own boundaries. Excessive emotions such as arrogance and inferiority will be less and less, and the mind will return to peace more and more.
Philosophy is the fundamental problem of thinking about the world and life, and its characteristic is to look at things based on the overall situation of the world and life, including what happened to you in the world. So from a philosophical point of view, many people's troubles are due to the lack of such a foothold, which is zero distance from their own experience in the world. This will definitely make a big fuss about small things, and they will be entangled and annoyed.
Small things are endless and overwhelming, and the result is endless pain. This is the use of philosophy, which teaches us to look down on life and look down from a height. Everything is a thing of the past, what is there to care about? In fact, philosophy has played such a role that we can awaken a higher self without paying too much attention to what happened to that individual. The trouble comes from that we take things very complicated and care too much, and the solution-get out and simplify things.
The suffering in life can't be temporarily solved by playing just because it is a temporary escape, but the pain is still there. There are two kinds of pain. One is to worry about small things. The root of troubles and entanglements lies in their own pattern. Narrow-minded people will naturally take small things seriously.
The other is real suffering, such as natural and man-made disasters, where will you go? Faced with the inevitable pain, we tried to reconcile with it. In both cases, the key is to improve life consciousness, so that you can watch the pain and let it go. When we have an insight into the nature of things, we will not be anxious because of various changes in the world. Our life is independent of external things, so our hearts are not affected by the outside world.
A person with high consciousness has a high spiritual level and a different way of looking at things. People who stand at a lower level often cannot understand the cause and effect of things. Once things don't go according to his wishes, he will easily fall into emotional anxiety.
People who stand at the top will see things several dimensions higher than ordinary people. He can go beyond the secular life, see more and further things, and see the distant scenery will naturally be broader, so he will understand everything, obey the laws of nature and understand the causal relationship. Therefore, their emotions are not easily influenced by the outside world, and what happens outside will not really bother them.
Just like rainy days, people don't want to go out. Adults will understand that this is a natural law, so they will not feel angry and angry about the sky. But children are different. They will bury their grievances in the sky, and they can't help rolling on the ground and complaining that they can't go out to play ... The reason is that adults are often more conscious than children, and adults can understand better than children that they can't go out to play in rainy days, because they are easy to catch a cold when they get wet, and they can wait until it doesn't rain. This does not affect the taste, nor does it affect the mood. So you will find that compared with children, adults will stand higher mentally, see farther, understand the ins and outs of things, and therefore have less troubles and disappointments than children.
According to this reasoning, you will find that the troubles caused by small things in life are not because of the things themselves, but because of our views on this matter. Because people with high consciousness stand on a high spiritual level, the pattern will be large and they will understand and tolerate things more, so they will naturally not be disturbed by external things.
Then the problem is coming. Speaking of high consciousness, what is a person's highest consciousness? There is a saying in Buddhism: "Thoroughly realize the truth". What is the most thorough and profound truth that a person can experience? The most thorough and unfathomable things in this world are life and death. Therefore, the highest consciousness of a person is to realize life and death at the same time. I see through the essence of life and despise the most unfathomable death. How do enlightened people with high spiritual level realize the greatest mystery in the world-the essence of life from ordinary life?
We humans have never stopped asking about the meaning of life and seeking happiness in life, but our eyes are only focused on this little me. This kind of spiritual myopia finally makes us unable to find a satisfactory answer. On the contrary, when we look up or overlook and really see a flower, a grass, a tree and another life in this world except me, we will inadvertently feel the glory of life and the peace of mind.
The poet william blake wrote in his work The Naive Prophet: "There is a world in a grain of sand and a heaven in a flower, infinity in the hands and eternity in an instant."
In the eyes of ordinary people, why is a small flower on the roadside worth seeing? But in the eyes of people with high consciousness, it is so intriguing. When you appreciate it carefully, you will find that this ordinary little flower contains a complex world of your own.
I remember once I went to a flower shop to buy flowers. All kinds of colorful flowers waved to me. They seem to be wearing a beautiful dress, and my eyes are deeply attracted by them. Every flower looks so pleasing to the eye. At that time, when I picked up a bouquet of blooming lilies to watch, I saw that the life wrapped in the faint petals inside was so delicate and orderly, and the combination of shape, color and fragrance was so ingenious and logical. Without artificial sculptures, their combination is so harmonious, magical and beautiful.
Perhaps in the eyes of the awakened one, a little flower we ignore may contain a different world, a trivial dust leaking through our fingers may contain a new world; Similarly, the world we live in may actually be just a huge "giant flower", a stone infinitely magnified under a microscope, and we are the microorganisms living inside the stone.
Although human thoughts are great, compared with nature, we humans really shouldn't take ourselves too seriously. If the world is just a shell under a magnifying glass, and we are just more insignificant microorganisms in the shell, what reason are we not humble? What is the reason for arrogance? So I think anyone with a worldview must be humble, and anyone with a humble worldview must be great.
We humans are used to taking all natural things as our living background, consumption objects, means of production and tourist attractions, but we ignore that nature is the biggest life textbook. As a branch of nature and a part of Vientiane, we human beings should always be sincere and learn from nature. If a grain of sand is a world of its own, and there is a heaven in a small flower, what about us? Aren't we just a grain of sand among all beings? Isn't it just a little flower in nature? And our earth, is it not a small flower in the vast universe?
Flowers bloom and fall, autumn goes to spring, producing spring flowers and autumn fruits, turning into spring mud red; Just as human beings move from infants and teenagers to middle age and old age. Isn't that true of any living thing? How different is it from this seemingly ordinary "little flower"?
If you pick up this little flower and hold your breath, you may not be careful, but you will find the "little flower" talking. With her silent language, her figure, color, aroma and life track are all her language, just like moonlight, stars, the sea and autumn leaves all have their own "whispering" and silent metaphors.
Staring has a kind of power, which transmits a kind of life energy and can realize spiritual communication outside language. And "Awakening" is just under the gaze of this spirit, and the mind suddenly blooms like "spring flowers".
Well, that's all. I just want to express. In fact, enlightenment is not a particularly unusual practice, nor is it an unattainable spiritual realm. In fact, everyone can understand it. However, due to everyone's different talents and the coincidence of life, people's "consciousness" is late and early, and the degree is different. The so-called "awakening" sounds mysterious, but in a word, it is what we often say in our lives, "standing high and seeing far", that's all. Many people pray to God and worship Buddha for the protection of the gods, and I will also maintain a respectful attitude towards God and Buddha. But I think, in fact, the Buddha is in each of us. When we can truly realize the essence of life, you can find the Buddha in your heart.
