First, the preparation of the shooting idea

The theme of the previous shooting was retro portraits in autumn, so costumes and props were prepared with retro literary models. The makeup of the model also chose big red, and the props chose retro old bicycles.

The scene was taken in the family area of Sichuan University, because Sichuan University is very old, and some houses in the family area are older houses. Although the background environment chosen in this way is a bit chaotic, it is the most real life. Environmental portrait photography should be like this, integrating characters into the environment and becoming a complete story.

Second, the shooting time and the use of light.

Shooting starts at about 3: 30 pm. In the case of sufficient light, the aperture of the environmental portrait can be slightly closed to increase the depth of field, prevent the eyes from losing focus, and also make the background more vivid and depict the environment.

If you shoot under strong light, the light is strong and it is easy to form a strong shadow on your face. Even if you fill the light with a reflector, it can't be remedied. You can shoot in the shade of a tree or in a house without direct sunlight. If you encounter an environment with mottled shadows, you can use a diffuse reflector with particles on the surface to make the light softer and more uniform. However, under direct sunlight, people's sense of light is not easy to grasp. You can choose a cool place, and at the same time pay attention to avoid the shadow cast by the sun through the branches, and there will be spots on your face.

Third, skillfully use the advantages of your own equipment.

My camera is Pentax KR. I choose the corresponding custom image mode when shooting, and then adjust the contrast and saturation according to my color preference. KR has many customized image styles, so you can make good use of this advantage for the weaker movie friends in the later period.

There are eleven o'clock focus and nine o'clock cross focus in the center of KR, which is a good function for portrait shooting. So every time I shoot, I will turn on the focus function of "focus switch". This is very helpful for composition and facial focus.

Fourthly, the warm yellow effect of autumn is smudged by the reverse film mode.

In order to capture the feeling of retro style in autumn and highlight the warm effect, the "reverse film" mode in KR is used to adjust the high contrast and saturation in advance, so that the tone of the direct photo is warm yellow. In the afternoon, mottled old walls and bicycles complement each other in a warm tone. Using the "warm" mode and adding warm yellow tones, girls in the sun are more feminine.

5. Use the anti-shake function to compensate for the slow shutter speed in low light.

Although it was shot during the day, the shooting scene was chosen in an old residential area, under the shade of trees and in residential areas. It is necessary to use the anti-shake system of the fuselage to compensate for the adverse effects caused by jitter, and it can be adjusted to the highest shutter speed without flash.

Sixth, lock the most beautiful look on the focus switch.

In order to highlight my sister's expression, I shot with a large aperture. It is very important to choose the focus quickly when shooting portraits. I use Pentax KR's 1 1 to focus on the center 9: 00 cross. This mode is more free and flexible than single-point focusing and autofocus, which is very helpful for composition and face focusing.

Seven, about the later period

In the later stage, the color tone of the photo is adjusted to be more film color with the optional color of PS, and then the problem of uneven color tone in the original film is solved. Because the light is bright but the model is too dark, the picture looks dull, but you can also use PS to even the color of the whole picture and add sunshine to make the picture fresh and breathable.
