One is the hero of the Swedish national treasure fairy tale Pippi Longstocking: red hair, freckles, big mouth, neat white teeth, infinite strength, enthusiasm and kindness; The other is alfred nobel, a famous Swedish chemist and industrialist, and the founder of the world-famous Nobel Prize.

The Swedes connect these two seemingly different "national treasures" in this way: it is Pippi's maverick and unrestrained children who have created such a great inventor as Nobel.

As a result, Pippi, a stocking doll wearing Nobel gold coins, became the lucky star of the Swedish Pavilion at the Shanghai World Expo, and the Swedes who were full of ideas simply named the theme of the National Pavilion at the 20 10 Shanghai World Expo "Light of Creativity" and decided to play "Creativity" to the end.

When the foundation stone of the Swedish Pavilion was laid in April this year, the Swedish "creativity" was fully demonstrated. As the first western country to establish diplomatic relations with New China, Sweden put the original fax signed by the two countries, China ceramic fragments excavated in marine archaeology, ancient telephone receiver and Pippi doll with stockings, bolts and nuts, which symbolizes sustainable development, into the memorial niche of the cornerstone of the Swedish Pavilion. At the groundbreaking ceremony, an "excavator performance" attracted everyone's attention. Sweden Volvo's two excavators are driven by workers and dance to the music!

The appearance of the Swedish Pavilion is square, ordinary and not very bright. In fact, Swedes "hide" their ideas in places that are most easily overlooked by the audience. The 3000-square-meter exhibition hall consists of four three-story square buildings. Visitors can shuttle between buildings through the cross-shaped transparent glass channel. A bird's eye view from a height, what effect will it be? Yes, Northwest Travel Network is a Swedish flag! The person in charge of organizing the Swedish Pavilion revealed that this cross has a special connotation: if the gray square represents the city and the green square represents the nature, then a cross will be produced where the two squares gradually approach and overlap, which is also a creative source for designing the Swedish Pavilion-reflecting the interaction between the city and nature, and between the city and the countryside.

Another idea is the outer wall. The exterior wall of the Swedish Pavilion is covered with perforated steel plates. These steel plates are different in size and shape, and there is a certain distance between them. Seen from a distance, it looks like a city map. It is understood that the "map" is based on Stockholm, Sweden. Perhaps, Swedish friends can find the specific location of their home on it. Because of the sunlight reflection of the special steel plate and the gap between it and the building entity, the energy consumption of refrigeration in the museum is also reduced.

In the exhibition area of about 1500 square meters, you can complete a work of art with street artists, or watch a circus performance while chewing Swedish meatballs, or enjoy the works of top Swedish photographers, with the hymns of the kingdom of ice and snow echoing in your ears.

The pavilion is a cruciform building with four cubic structures, which looks like the cruciform pattern on the Swedish flag from top to bottom. The exterior wall of the building presents a grid symbolizing the city, while the interior wall is full of natural elements. The exterior wall of the exhibition hall is an art map of downtown Stockholm.

The exhibition hall is designed as three floors and consists of four interconnected buildings, of which the exhibition area is about 1500 square meters, with cafes and boutiques. On the third floor of the exhibition hall, there is also a VIP area and a restaurant. You can enjoy Swedish coffee on the top terrace, watch a musical circus or interact with street artists, and buy Swedish souvenirs.
