"People"-life is full of changes and weather.

Throw a wave of beautiful pictures first, and get a quick look.

There are many such pictures in the documentary "Man", but if you think this is a film depicting natural scenery, it is all wet. These pictures, this is one of the beautiful faces, more people are walking in the vast desert, people are stacked into adult towers, people are looking for treasures in garbage mountains, and people are experiencing waves on artificial beaches ..... Yes! People, all of them. Among "human beings", men, women, disabled people, aborigines, Palestinians, sinners ... people with different labels face the camera and tell their stories, feelings, moods and experiences ... Some of them are calm, crying, happy, confused, or angry, and even avoid the camera because of shyness. When they tell us something with their own emotions, although ordinary, they still touch something in our hearts.

This is the first documentary I have seen, and certainly it won't be the last. In the next few days, I will recommend some good documentaries to you. In the article, I will share my humble opinion with you. In the meantime, let me introduce you to this "human".

? "Humanity": released on 20 15, French photographer Yann Arthus-Bertrand spent three years traveling to 60 countries, allowing 2020 people of different races, languages and colors to tell their stories in front of the same camera, and finally assembled into a documentary. In the film, the interviewee tells his story in a pure black background, and the identity of the interviewee is not added later. Without any fancy cutting technology, everything is flat and straight.

France is a romantic country in our stereotype. They have lavender from Sophie Marceau and Provence and sweet red wine from Lafite ... but I didn't expect that they also have documentaries reflecting social reality, and they are excellent works. Humans are one of them. The whole film focuses on the people at the bottom of human society, where we can feel the changes of life and the myriad weather most intuitively and truly. There is a saying on the official website of human beings: human beings let us face to face with others and let us reflect on our lives. In this movie, we can see everything in the world through them. We may never live their lives, but who can be sure? Pain and happiness come to everyone every day, and we can and will encounter the problems they are suffering.

From the whole movie to the part, it is inevitable that different people will tell their stories in detail in front of the still camera. Everyone tells stories with different themes, but they seep into our hearts bit by bit. After watching the whole movie, we will sigh, sigh life, sigh life, sigh the world … but we don't know what we are sighing about. In the film, people told us about love, happiness, war, hatred, family, gender, homosexuality, poverty, exploitation, society, country, refugees, government, unemployment, life and death and so on. Some are far away from us, but they are really happening. We should feel the happiness of others and try to feel the pain of others.

Aside from all heavy or joyful topics, the shooting and artistic expression of the whole film are worthy of our appreciation and study. First of all, the whole documentary, at most, is aimed at the interviewee with large close-ups. In this way, all the defects on their faces are exposed to the audience-dim eyes, missing teeth, disabled hands and feet ..... which will bring some discomfort to the audience. But this is the most striking thing. Good and bad, beautiful and ugly are all thrown in front of you, so that you can see the real ordinary reality, not the glamorous on the stage. This kind of "face-to-face" lens language can easily narrow the distance between the two worlds before and after the screen, as if it were staged around us.

Secondly, the photographer took a lot of aerial photography, which seems to introduce us to some natural scenery and relieve our visual fatigue. In fact, these aerial photos are very useful: the beautiful scenery shows that although the living environment of human beings is pleasant, it will not bring great changes to people's miserable lives; The turbulent waves rolled and rushed to the isolated lighthouse in the ocean, implying the smallness and helplessness of human beings; The success of the pyramid-shaped ocean praised the unity and strength of mankind; People who pile up garbage and scavengers accuse us of social injustice ... all these are interrelated and constitute human society. In addition, the repeated use of the aerial camera can relieve our visual fatigue, pull us back from the previous heaviness, change our mood and move on to the next topic.

Finally, the editing technique of the whole film. The producer adopts the way of connecting with the scene, but this way is contrary to the attempt of editing. When I thought of doing the homework of the TV picture editing teacher before, I did my homework for several weeks because I didn't understand this rule, and I still remember it vividly. The reason is that the connection with the scene will not cause the audience's emotional fluctuations and ups and downs, and the whole movie will not have too many atmosphere changes, and the picture will not be smooth and feel lifeless. But when you calm down, you will find that it doesn't matter, as if we won't feel any discomfort when we watch it, and all the rules don't work. I think this is the charm of "people"!
