The vegetation coverage rate of the whole mountain is 94.4%, with more than 400 species belonging to 83 families. Among them, more than 20 species such as Davidia involucrata, Michelia Emei and Taxus chinensis are rare tree species under state protection, and there are a large number of woody oil, woody grain and wild fruit resources and medicinal materials, which are praised as "green pearls" by experts.

There are 52 species of wild vertebrates, mammals, birds and fish in the scenic spot. According to legend, it was created by Lu You, a famous poet in the Southern Song Dynasty, when he presided over religious affairs in western Sichuan at the monk street gate in Tiantai Mountain. Locals call it spirit and worship it as a god.

During the Southern and Northern Dynasties, Puda Shiye, a monk from the Western Regions, traveled here and founded Tiantai Temple.
