Compared with Dongmen, which has been slightly commercialized, it is quite interesting to visit Bazaar, where the ancient style still exists and it is more primitive, which is an excellent place to find the primitive life in southern Xinjiang.

The market is divided into three areas: cattle, sheep and horses. Walking in, it seems to see the reappearance of the trade form of the ancient Silk Road: touch it with your hands, look at it with your eyes, and then lift it up to estimate the weight.

There will be no clear price tag here. Everything is in accordance with the ancient "shake hands and make peace". The two sides of the transaction are playing a secret code in each other's hands. On the surface, it is quiet, but inside, it is fierce coming and going. After the game, they all smiled and nodded. It is also possible that the price can't be negotiated, and it doesn't hurt feelings. We split up wisely and find another trading partner.

You can tell whether a sheep is good or bad by touching its ass, back and stomach. The price of each sheep varies from 1000 to several thousand yuan, depending on the breed, age and size. For example, a strong "daolang sheep" with a black face and big ears is much more expensive than ordinary goats.

In addition to the rare livestock trading scene, it is also a valuable opportunity to participate in the daily life of Uighurs. Although many sellers have traveled long distances from other places, they seem to be in no hurry to sell, waiting quietly with extraordinary patience. During the long trading interval, several relatives and friends sit around and play chess, or drop in at random with their children, which is very harmonious.

There is also a dining place outside Bazaar, full of delicious freshly baked buns, yogurt and apricot juice soaked in huge ice cubes. Then order a plate of mixed noodles, a few steamed buns and a cold and refreshing frozen drink, and you can sweep away the dusty and sweaty fatigue all morning.

In the afternoon, the poisonous sun will slow down a little, and you can also visit the surrounding animal jewelry market. The accessories such as trough, saddle, shoes and sheep rope sold in the stall are all magical goods that have never been seen in the city. Buying a string of sheep bells and a small whip is also the most distinctive frontier gift.

Tip: The cattle and sheep market is only open on Sundays. Because of the gathering of animals, the sanitary conditions here are poor, and the movement of animals leads to dust all over the sky. You'd better bring your own mask first.
