Besides Populus euphratica, Ejina Banner also has a "sea". Many famous people have been here in history, such as Huo Qubing and Zhang Qian in Han Dynasty and Wang Wei, a great poet in Tang Dynasty, all left footprints here. Now that I have seen Populus euphratica, most tourists will leave footprints here.

This "sea" is Juyanhai, which is one of the largest lakes in the northwest of China. Its shape is long and narrow, like a crescent moon. The Ejina River flows into the lake and is the main water source of Juyan Sea. Juyan, a Hun language, was translated into weak quicksand in Water Mirror Notes. It was called Juyanze in Han Dynasty, Xihai in Wei and Jin Dynasties and Juyanhai in Tang Dynasty.

Juyanhai in history is much bigger than it is now, and there are more aquatic plants. It is also the only way for the Mongolian Plateau to reach Hexi and the Western Regions. Therefore, it is not only an important stronghold for Huns to contact Waqiang and Hehuang Qiang to jointly attack the Han Dynasty, but also a frontier position for the Han Dynasty to attack Huns.

Today, East Juyanhai (also known as Supor) and West Juyanhai (also known as Gashunol) are composed of other lakes. Now the Juyanhai where tourists go refers to the East Juyanhai (Supor), and other lakes have dried up. In recent years, Xijuyanhai began to restore the water surface through continuous replenishment.

The sunrise and sunset in Juyanhai are very famous. It can be said that there are many people waiting for sunrise and sunset all year round. Photographers from all walks of life set up long guns and short guns to occupy one side of the land in order to photograph the glowing clouds on the horizon at sunrise and sunset …

Gulls in Juyanhai are migratory birds. Autumn is the last time they gather here. As the temperature drops, they will leave here and fly to the south. The cheerful cries of seagulls cut through the sky from time to time, adding vitality to the silent Juyan Sea.

Tips: ① There are many people watching the sunrise in Juyanhai during the "Eleventh" period, so you should go early. It's less than an hour's drive from Ejina, so you'd better take the next road (the old road), or you'll be stuck in the toll booth for fear of missing the sunrise. It takes time to buy tickets and queue up, that is to say, it is best to leave for Juyanhai two hours in advance to watch the sunrise. ③ When entering the scenic spot, don't miss the stands and hills on both sides of the plank road. That's for people who like to be late and get lost in 13. You must open your arms and go straight to the ferry station at Pier 2, climb the bus ferry bound for 1 Pier 3 (or Pier 3), get off and quickly grab the best viewing spot, and then wait for the sunrise across the sea. ④ There are two best routes in the scenic spot. The first way is to arrive at No.2 (through) →1→ No.2 (through) → No.3 → No.2 scenic spot. The second way is to arrive at No.2 (through) → No.2 (through) → No.2 scenic spot.
