Tool photography
I don't think shooting historical scenes with cameras will replace painting. First of all, historical scenes need artists to make artistic processing and creation, so as to present more vivid, imaginative and appealing pictures. Secondly, painting can better express the atmosphere and emotion of historical scenes, and let the audience feel the importance and influence of historical events more deeply through the use of colors, lines and composition. In addition, the camera lens shooting historical scenes may limit the artist's creative freedom and expressive force, and the photos taken can only present a fixed perspective and moment, which cannot fully express the depth and breadth of historical scenes like painting. So I think painting and photography are two different forms of artistic expression, which should not replace each other, but should play their unique roles in their respective fields.
