Russell Baker
Russell Wayne Baker (born in August 14, 1925) is an American Pulitzer Prize winner, who is famous for his satirical comments and self-critical essays. He is famous for his autobiography Growing Up.
In the preface to Conscientious Objection to Military Service, neil Pozmann described Baker as "... like some Roman citizens in the fourth century, they were interested and curious about the collapse of the empire, but they still cared about laughing at the stupid behavior that accelerated its demise. In my opinion, he is a valuable national resource. As long as he does not have his own TV program, the United States will still be stronger than Russia. " (199 1, xii) He won the Pulitzer Prize for his column "Observer" in The New York Times and his memoir "Growing Up".
