Bicycle self-driving "African Prairie", the pioneer's operation guide

On May 25th 15:30 local time, I posted a group of photos of my work when I was shooting in the African Prairie in my circle of friends. Many friends raised interesting questions. Because our mobile WIFI signal was unstable at that time, we didn't reply one by one. Next, I will talk to you about the interesting things on the African prairie!

Sort out the problems and basically divide them into four categories. 1. Hey Delin, what did you do? Second, lying in the trough, big brother, where is this TM? Third, the photos are not bad. Let's share them. Fourth, slut, how did you drive there? Here are some answers to these four questions.

It's the first time that the team came to the African Prairie to perform the national geographic shooting task, so this time it's not off-road, but 90% of the whole journey is off-road. It happens that I am the only cross-country enthusiast in the team, except the photographer and the driver.

The base camp is located in Mbandaka. On the first day, we arrived at 10 local time. Because the team was so excited, we completely ignored the time difference of five and a half hours. We drove 266 kilometers to the Congo River in central Africa, also called Zaire River, where it joins the Ruki River.

The moment I stepped into the African prairie, I could hardly think calmly. The beauty here is beyond my poor vocabulary. The shutter of the camera echoes in my ear like a light machine gun.

The local tour guide told us that there were many such crooked trees, which were hit by large herbivores when they were moving rapidly, and were probably frightened by some carnivores.

Unfortunately, we stayed less than 20 kilometers in Fiona Fang for two days and still didn't get what we wanted.

Fortunately, there are animals here that I have never seen before. Let's pat casually and find the feeling. A small group of gazelles passed 0/00 meters away from me/kloc-,and their alert nature kept them staring at my camera.

Hyenas are also a unique animal in Africa, which reminds me of the three hyenas who framed Simba in my favorite Disney movie The Lion King when I was a child.

All my previous knowledge of the African savannah came from the animal world, but I really didn't expect to step into this magical continent.

It's rare to drive your chariot into the African prairie, and then record the sunset on the Zaire River with a camera. This may only have one chance.

The sun is near the horizon. I thought it would be hot at night, but it's actually fine. Now I feel a little cold.

26℃ to 29℃ during the day, and about 16℃ at night. The temperature is especially suitable for camping.

As night fell, the cat began to perk up. Camping here is a death wish. Look at our small base, a pyramid-shaped glass room with two floors underground. It's like beating chicken blood, lying in bed looking up at the Milky Way, getting sleepy.

Because I have been working in a state of extreme excitement these two days, there is no time difference, so I didn't set an alarm clock to let the team sleep in. When I opened my eyes, it was already local time 10: 30.

After that, we made a two-day trip to the east, and came to Masai Mara National Park, Kenya's numerous wildlife reserves, which is called the "crown of gardens".

I twisted my face. Wow, hahahaha, this is a newborn coyote. Then MengMeng's little head was still wondering where the crooked nuts came from.

There are not many scenic spots to see in MengMeng, but the pursuit of the law of the jungle can be seen everywhere.

So I drilled the skylight and took one in one day. Whenever a big cat comes near, I hide in my chariot at lightning speed.

In Masai Mara, we once again ushered in the sunset on the African prairie. The sunset here can not only burn the whole grassland, but also boil the whole river.

There are still many photos that cannot be released temporarily without official permission. Finally, tell me in detail how I shipped my car to Kenya.

After leaving the country from Zhangmu, there are two roads to Africa. The first road is from Nepal to Bangladesh, from Mungra Port, from the Bay of Bengal to the Gulf of Aden in the Arabian Sea, and then from the Gulf of Aden. This route is characterized by short land and long land and sea. The second is to enter India from Nepal, directly enter the Arabian Sea from Duyaka Port on the west coast of India, and always enter from the Gulf of Aden. The characteristic of this route is that the land is long and the sea is short.

Here is a brief introduction about driver's license, personnel access and the most troublesome vehicle access procedures. . .

Well, I really can't make it up now. I really don't understand the matter of private cars leaving the country. Later, I really planned to try cross-border self-driving. I have to do my homework again.

At that time, my circle of friends who sent "work photos" was like this.

Well, it turned out that eating chicken betrayed me!

Because of the animal world, I have an African dream since I was a child. Every time I think of it, I will also think of Zhao Zhongxiang's classic narration, "Spring is coming, everything is reviving, and it is the season of animal mating." After playing cross-country, I even dreamed of driving to the African prairie to watch animals mate. No, it should be watching animals migrate and chase, and using the camera to freeze that beautiful moment.

Then the problem comes again. Where is this? This is Zhenglanqi Prairie, 400 kilometers away from Beijing. It is adjacent to Hunshandake Sandy Land in the west and Duolun in the east. The most important thing is the landform here. There are few ups and downs in Ma Pingchuan. Every year before the grassland turns green in April and May and after the playground turns yellow in September and June, 65438+ 10 is really a scene of the African prairie. The most important thing is that few people here know. The whole grassland is mine.

In addition to the ruins of Shangdu in Yuan Dynasty and Kublai Khan Film and Television City, Shangdu Lake Hotel, built on the lakeside of Shangdu, is the most worthwhile place to visit. The photos in the middle are all taken near this hotel (animal pictures are from the Internet).

The interior and exterior design of the hotel is full of sense, and the overall structure is 80% solid wood, so it is difficult to find a steel structure.

Each room has floor-to-ceiling windows with a bird's-eye view of grasslands and lakes.

In order to facilitate the children to practice tennis, the hotel owner built a stadium on the grassland. I swear I'm not bragging this time.

By chance, I went to Zhenglanqi with my friends who were playing with cars. I was immediately attracted by this African prairie, and then I will drive here two or three times a year. Not only Jingmei, but also a hotel with such a high B-grid, the most difficult thing is that it is too close to Beijing. I want to write travel notes after driving a few times, and I become a big fool when I write. Wow, ha ha ha ha ha.
