First of all, the function settings of the webcam connected via USB.

Many high-end digital cameras have their own webcam function with USB interface, so it is relatively simple to set such digital cameras as webcams. The steps are as follows:

1, connect digital camera and computer with USB cable; 2. Install the attached USB driver; 3. Put the switch of the digital camera in the "shooting" state; 4. Follow the instructions in the software settings such as NetMeeting, MSN or QQ to conduct video chat step by step.

Second, 1394 Settings for connecting camera function

Some low-end entry-level digital cameras do not provide USB interface, and the manual does not clearly state that they can be used as webcams. So can this digital camera be set as a network camera? Of course, because we have the 1394 interface! Through the 1394 interface, we can easily set the digital camera as a webcam!

Method (1): 1. Connect your digital camera to the computer through the 1394 line and set the machine to the "shooting" state; 2. Install Windows Media Encode on your personal computer. You can download the latest version from Microsoft's website, and then follow the prompts to install the encoder step by step. 3. After the installation, you will see the pictures taken by the webcam in the browser, and then you can also use NetMeeting, MSN or QQ software for video chat.

Method (2): The steps are similar to the method (1), but the difference is that the installed software is TeVeo VIDiO Suite, and the other party needs to enter your IP address in the browser to see the images taken by the webcam, which is relatively a little more complicated than the method (1).
