The application conditions of Hong Kong art graduate students include language requirements, academic background, recommendation letter and other requirements.

1, language requirements

Due to unique historical factors, Hong Kong is a meeting place of Chinese and Western cultures. At present, the English teaching environment in Hong Kong University has greatly improved students' ability. Generally speaking, language achievement is the key, and it needs to reach 7.0. If you want to get a master's degree in art, your professional language should not be lower than 6.5. In addition, you need gmat scores. Now students apply for gmat or gre, and if they don't, they will be in a weak position.

2. Academic background

Undergraduate diploma and bachelor's degree certificate from domestic schools, with excellent academic background and achievements during the study period. You also need to submit a complete transcript of 8 semesters, including graduation thesis or graduation design.

3. Letter of recommendation

You need to submit 2~3 letters of recommendation. The content of the recommendation letter should include the teacher's introduction to your academic performance, scientific research ability, cooperative spirit and academic achievements. And it needs to be stamped and signed by a special letter.

4. Other requirements

Postgraduates of HKU need internship, awards and other materials. If the applicant can provide a formal internship certificate, volunteers or professional awards will also help to apply for an OFFER.

Requirements for the portfolio of Hong Kong art graduate students:

Show the applicant's creative potential, areas of interest and strengths, as well as the ability to be admitted. Content can include still life photography, painting, sculpture, music creation/performance, movies/videos, software, multimedia production, academic or creative writing, scientific projects or other forms of imagination.

It must be an original work in PDF format. Applicants should choose to declare their areas of interest (animation, games, installations, photography, video/movies, sound and art) in the boxes provided. You can check up to 2 boxes and assign priority numbers according to your selection order. If you fail to declare your interests or make mistakes, you will not be able to upload your own portfolio.
