Shooting skills of reflection in water —— How to shoot the night view of reflection in water

The reflection of scenery on the water can often add charming beauty to ordinary scenery. The scene in the water is virtual, virtual and real, and it changes endlessly. Especially the reflection of misty water in the night gives people a fantastic aesthetic feeling.

1, the height of the shooting point and the performance of water reflection

When you stand on the shore and observe the reflection of the water, your feeling must be quite beautiful, but you might as well bend down and have a look, or simply lower the camera to the shore near the water and make a comparative observation through the viewfinder. It is not difficult to find:

The closer the shooting point is to the water surface, the longer and more complete the reflection on the water surface;

The higher the shooting point, the farther away from the water surface, the shorter and more incomplete the water surface reflection.

Therefore, when choosing the height of the shooting point, it should be low rather than high. If the difference between the top and bottom is 60-90 cm, the picture effect will change greatly. Photographers must choose the best shooting height according to their own conception requirements. In addition, when shooting close to the water surface, the aperture must be smaller, otherwise the reflection at the front end of the water surface will appear blurred.

2, the wind should not exceed level 4.

When shooting the night scene of the reflection on the water surface, it is best to have the wind force around the first or second level, so that the water surface is relatively calm, and the reflection of the scene in the water is relatively stable and has high definition. If there is a gust of 3-4, the problem will not be too big. When shooting, you can take advantage of the gap between gusts, and then open the shutter when the water surface returns to calm. If the wind force exceeds 4, the reflection of the scenery on the water will all disappear, leaving only the vertical light column that the shore lights keep shaking on the water. At this time, the reflection on the water surface at night can't be photographed, so we have to wait until the next calm time, and then take the time to shoot.

3. Intermittent exposure method is more suitable.

Night scene shooting usually requires a long exposure time. During the long exposure, although the wind is only about 1-2, there may be a slight gust occasionally, and sometimes the fish in the water will suddenly jump out of the water. In this way, the calm water will ripple, making the reflection of the scenery on the water slightly shake. In short, it is often impossible to keep the water calm for a long time during a long exposure. In order to ensure the clarity of water reflection, intermittent exposure method is more suitable during shooting.
