How can sketches have texture?
Sketch refers to drawing an object with a monochrome black artistic pen such as pencil or charcoal pen, spreading it out with lines, and then drawing it in three colors: black, white and gray. The light-dark boundary of such an object. Dark parts, bright parts.
Highlights are displayed on paper, which is the characteristic of sketch. It can also be said that it is a painting form that depicts real things or feelings in life with monochrome or a small amount of color painting materials. The materials used are dry and wet.
Among them, dry materials such as pencils, charcoal pens, chalk, pastels, crayons, charcoal pens, silver pens, etc. And ink, pens, signature pens, reed pens, bamboo pens, ballpoint pens and other wet materials. Traditionally, sketch is mainly monochrome painting, but in the art dictionary, watercolor painting also belongs to sketch.
Although many people will spit out sketches, even if they are true, they can't resist a shutter of the camera. One second's effort directly replaces the efforts of artists or other painters several times. But in fact, for me, the most essential difference between photos and pencil sketches is to borrow a sentence from French photographer henri cartier bresson: "Photography is a direct reaction, while painting is a meditation."
Furthermore, to judge art, you must at least see the works of art before you can draw a conclusion. The following works of art are the works of great artists from all over the world. I believe that many people who see these works will feel different shocks in the process of appreciation, and feel different emotions in each painting, thus causing all kinds of the same or different emotions.
