Professional mobile phone photography skills
1. First, you need a clean and clear lens
Before taking photos, you need to make sure that all equipment is functioning properly. Usually this means doing some pre-cleaning, and while wiping the lens with jeans may seem to do the job, using a rough material like a cotton shirt or a wet napkin too many times can cause damage to the lens. If you want to avoid getting scratches on your lens, use a softer material, such as a microfiber cloth, to clean dirt from your camera lens.
2. Composition skills can add a lot of color to photos
You can use the camera to assist shooting when composing.
In iOS mobile phones, first click Settings and then click Camera, then turn on grid lines, and you can see in the camera that the screen is divided into 3*3 grids. These grids can help you compose your shot more easily and align any vertical or horizontal lines in your photo to maintain parallelism when shooting.
3. Don’t use digital zoom
When a dog walks across a field you may want to zoom in a little closer to get a picture that satisfies you. But zooming in before shooting isn't the answer; digital zoom simply crops and resizes the image, and is nothing like the optical zoom features you'd find in a full-featured DSLR. Not only does digital zoom produce a grainy image, it also reduces the overall resolution of the photo and amplifies any hand vibration, preventing you from capturing this adorable dog perfectly. This problem may occur even when shooting with a mobile phone with a multi-lens camera, such as the iPhone XS or Samsung Galaxy Note 1.
4. Find an appropriate light source before shooting
Instead of relying on a light source that is not bright enough to illuminate the object you are photographing, try to find other light sources that you can use, no matter what Be it sunset, indoor lighting, or even candlelight if you want to get a little artsy. If you really can't find a suitable light source, you can use another phone's flashlight to provide a more stable light source.
5. Stand firm – or use a tripod
If your photos taken at sunset look a bit blurry, then you should use your photographer’s best tool Tools: Tripod. Of course, a stable tripod can serve many purposes such as long exposures, time-lapse photography, light trails, light painting, and more. Small tripods are great for mobile photography and are often cross-device, meaning they can be used on almost any phone.
