Book composition methods

Book composition methods:

1. Key positions deserve attention

The axis of symmetry, horizontal line, center point, and of course the third point, etc., are all By controlling some structures at the geometric center of the picture, it will naturally be easier to focus on. Placing the subject in these positions can easily be emphasized. The composition rules in Jianghu are not without merit. These rules still organize some "key positions" very well. Looking through IPPA award-winning photos in recent years, I found that the main elements in about half of the photos are related to key positions.

2. Principle of visual balance

Just like a lever, some pictures look comfortable because everyone can feel that the things on the picture are balanced. If there is something on the left side of the picture that occupies a large proportion, then it is best to have something on the right side that can "pull the weight", so that it will look more comfortable. Does every photo have to look balanced? not necessarily. "Weight balance" is not a purpose of composition, but a feeling that needs to be experienced when operating a picture. This feeling should be controlled as much as possible. We believe that by controlling the sense of balance, we can also control the general structure of the picture.

3. The principle of connection

Most photography scenes include more than one element, and a very important principle in managing pictures is to express certain connections between elements. This helps to condense the picture and makes us feel that the picture is a whole. There are many kinds of such connections, which can be obvious, such as repetition, contrast, etc., or they can be more abstract, such as plot. Give two examples and everyone will understand.

4. There must be a theme

The definition of composition requires a "unified and harmonious whole". The same goes for writing articles, you need to have a central idea. Even if it is prose, it is important to keep the form and spirit intact - of course this is another realm. Some friends will say that taking photos with a mobile phone is not just about having fun. It’s enough to make the photos “good-looking” and make you happy. There is no need to set any themes or ideas. In fact, the theme is not something profound. The characters and things to be highlighted, the main plot to be expressed, and the explicit and implicit meanings are all themes.
