Who is the bodhisattva riding a dragon?
Guanyin riding a dragon:
There are different opinions about the source of Guanyin riding a dragon, among which Guanyin statue is the most widely spread, which was left by the flood in August 7th, 1959 in Taiwan Province Province. However, according to the judgment of Taiwan Province Provincial Court Taishangzi No.4242 in 2003, the earliest source of this image is actually 1968, the original painting of Japanese painter Harada Naojiro in the 9th century, which was taken by an unknown person in black and white photography, while the other color version is Cai Zhongxun in Taiwan Province Province. One of the most popular patterns is that the faucet at the bottom of the photo is above the water, and the dragon has three claws, all of which belong to the shape of China calligraphy Qinglong. In the center of the image, there is a person on the back of Qinglong, who is the female image of Guanyin Bodhisattva in China legend. Guanyin is riding on a dragon, with his feet exposed in white. In the background of the photo, there is a dragon rolling in the water, while in the image, Guanyin Bodhisattva holds a net bottle in her left hand and a willow branch in her right hand. In addition, there are different opinions about the naming of images. There are "Avalokitesvara with a Thousand Hands", "Baita Temple" and "Avalokitesvara with a Thousand Hands". And the Taiwan Province Provincial Court judged the photographic work as "Guanyin riding a dragon" according to the Intellectual Property Office of the Ministry of Economic Affairs. The photographic work Riding a Dragon as Guanyin, which is worshipped by most Buddhists, Taoists and Taoists in Taiwan Province, is often reprinted in Buddhist books in Taiwan Province Province or made into amulets. No matter what form it is displayed, there is usually a description of the source of the picture next to the photo.
There are probably two kinds of format descriptions attached to Riding the Dragon Guanyin. One is: "In the forty-eight years of the Republic of China (1959), Taiwan Province Province was flooded on August 7, and the central region was the hardest hit. Over Dadu River in Changhua, Guanyin Bodhisattva appeared in the air to help the poor. Some people found the clouds strange and photographed them. We can clearly see that Guanyin Bodhisattva is dressed in white, holding Yang Liuzhi in her right hand and a clean bottle in her left hand, standing on the dragon. " Or "This photo was taken on1June, 962 19 (June 1973, 19). An American pilot was flying a fighter plane (or" U2 reconnaissance plane "in some versions) and saw a strange black cloud over the northeast of Taiwan Province Province. After he took it, the photo was developed and found that Guanyin Bodhisattva was riding a dragon. " (For details, see "Continuation of Guanyin Inspiration"). In addition, another story is the photos taken by the US military during the air raid on Taipei (black and white version of the explanatory text). Among many versions of Guanyin riding a dragon, the black-and-white version is mostly used for the sacrifices of Buddhism and Taoism in Taiwan Province Province, while the color version of Guanyin riding a dragon has once become an indispensable display artifact of Taoist temples and Taoist temples. According to the judgment of Taiwan Province Provincial High Court in the civil case in which Cai Zhongxun sued several temples for copyright infringement, the "Riding Dragon Guanyin" in Taiwan Province Province is actually a black-and-white photographic copy of the oil painting "Riding Dragon Guanyin" in Tokyo, Japan. The original painter of "Riding Dragon Guanyin" is the work of Japanese painter Najiro Harada 1890 (the 23rd year of Meiji).
