[Keywords:] rope, diversity, practicality and decoration, fashion interest. China clothing has a long history, and the use of rope in clothing has a certain historical time. Rope has been widely used in clothing since it appeared. In different periods, different ethnic costumes have their own characteristics in the use of ropes. Whether the rope is used to connect the pieces of clothes or play a decorative role in clothes, it changes the shape and structure of clothes and changes the style of clothes through various decorative means such as interweaving, twisting, winding and lifting. In recent years, with the diversification of clothing styles, as well as new technologies and decorative means, rope style has been increasingly used in different styles of clothing, becoming a changing design means in the hands of designers. Many masters who lead the trend can see colorful ropes in their works every season, and they make colorful clothing changes with ropes in their hands. In recent years, in our life clothes, the figure of rope can also be seen everywhere. Different styles of clothes and different types of ropes will make the clothes colorful.

First, the concept of rope and its characteristics

As early as ancient times, people have begun to peel the stems and skins of cannabis plants, make things like ropes, and apply them to life.

In Modern Chinese Dictionary, rope is defined as a long strip made of more than two pieces of hemp, brown hair or straw, which is mainly used to bind things. In our mind, the concept of rope is relatively broad. To sum up, the rope is a strip made of two or more thin fibers twisted by multiple systems, with a circular cross section and a certain thickness.

In addition to the linear shape in the natural state, the rope can also be produced into various shapes by winding, knotting and weaving, which has the characteristics of "point" and "surface". If the rope is knotted (such as a Chinese knot), or beads, metal pendants, belts or even feathers are added to the end of the rope, the outstanding effect is "dots" and become the center of attention. If the rope is woven into a net, or simply arranged horizontally, such as tassels, it has the characteristics of "face" and gives a strong impression.

From the appearance, the rope in the natural state gives people the feeling of being linear and slender. It has some "line" characteristics: sometimes it looks like a straight line, simple and sharp, with visual segmentation, and sometimes it looks like a curve, soft, lively and elegant, with a certain sense of movement and the fluidity of lines. With the different changes of lines, different visual feelings can be produced. This characteristic of rope makes it change in size, color, shape and position when it is placed on other objects (including clothes), which affects the aesthetic feeling of objects.

From the material point of view, the rope gives people a hard feeling, and through the light and shadow, the three-dimensional feeling produced by the rope gives people a strong visual impact. Because the rope is composed of multiple strands, its texture depends entirely on the characteristics of raw materials. In recent years, materials are regarded by artists as the most direct medium to express ideas and concepts, and have independent aesthetic value. The material of the rope is an important factor to reflect its aesthetic feeling.

Secondly, rope is widely used in the practical and decorative aspects of clothing.

Ropes appeared on clothes long ago. Even before clothes appeared formally, human ancestors knew how to bind animal skin with ropes and the like to protect and keep out the cold. For thousands of years, rope has been widely used in clothing, and many of them are still in use today. The reasons are obvious: first, it is practical, practical and simple, and does not need complicated processing; Second, it is a fibrous material, soft and easy to shape, which is in harmony with the whole clothing; Third, it has visual aesthetic feeling and strong decorative effect.

In previous clothes, the rope was mainly used to connect the pieces of clothes, with practical functions as the main function; With the continuous changes of history, ropes are more and more used in clothing to play a certain decorative role, and even some clothes are completely out of practical function and completely play a decorative role. Looking back at the history of clothing, we can easily find that rope has been widely used in clothing. Since the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, rope has played a certain decorative role in clothing, while the ancient Han Dynasty clothing in China was mainly tied with rope, giving people a feeling of chic and elegant. It is also worth mentioning that the ancient "big belt system" is also widely used in the costumes of other ethnic groups. Heaton in ancient Greece and Junica in ancient Rome are made of simple and wide fabrics, which are warm and convenient, and can also form beautiful folds. White wedding dresses worn by Christian and Catholic brides are often decorated with a lot of ribbons, lace and bows, which are very beautiful. The belt on Japanese kimono is also very distinctive, because the improvement of waist section makes Japanese women's shorter and thicker lower body look slender visually. The traditional Korean long skirts are simple and elegant, and the wide-breasted bow has become the most remarkable feature of Korean costumes.

In modern clothing design, the use of rope can be said to be extremely extensive, with diverse forms and functions, and the clothing styles are ever-changing. Both modeling and decoration play an important role. Whether it is connected with the theme or separated from the clothing, it is used freely; Contrast, unity, simplicity and complexity ... Ropes are not only found in clothing, but also often found in clothing accessories, while hair bands, neck bands, suspenders, belts, nepotism, leggings, shoelaces and other styles are more colorful.

Third, look at today's social concepts and fashion interests from various ropes on modern clothes.

Clothing is the vane of social fashion, and the development of clothing in different periods and nationalities can reflect the social concepts and fashion interests at that time. In the Tang Dynasty, China developed economically and socially, and its culture and art flourished. Therefore, women's dresses in the Tang Dynasty were bare-chested and bare-armed, which was the most luxurious and open in the past. In the west, women's dresses in Rococo period were modeled by tights and skirts, decorated with ribbons, laces and even artificial flowers, which was the representative of the peak of "artificial beauty", which was directly related to the social fashion of the upper class at that time, when women tried their best to please men. Judging from the fashion conferences in recent years, many fashion masters have used ropes in their works. Yifei Fashion and ONLY are two brands with different styles, but this summer they both used rope design as the inspiration for clothing tailoring. So, why do they prefer rope so much? And what is the relationship between the frequent appearance of ropes and fashion trends? Nowadays, there are all kinds of ropes on clothes, which are just in line with the current fashion trends and interests, mainly in the following aspects: (1) With the continuous development and progress of society, the human environment has also been destroyed to some extent. In 1980s, the concept of environmental protection and returning to nature attracted people's attention all over the world, and also attracted designers' fascination with nature and simple materials. The simple shape and primitive texture of the rope seem to be a spiritual concept left over from the primitive society, thus becoming a symbol under the theme of protecting the earth and advocating nature. (2) The rope belt is casual and lively, which reflects the relaxed attitude of modern people in dressing. Fashion design is a kind of design for human dress, which is closer to people than any other art. Pure art is only for people to appreciate, and industrial products are only for people to use. Only "fashion design" is an art that people can participate in, and it can produce different artistic effects according to different people. It is precisely because of this combination of clothes and people that people pay more attention to clothes and themselves. In a sense, dress is a necessity of life and social life, and it is also a kind of self-entertainment. Especially on some occasions, people's attitude towards clothes is no longer so serious, and sometimes they even treat games with an entertaining and self-deprecating attitude, giving themselves and others a kind of spiritual relaxation in the high-paced life. Because of the randomness and compactness of the rope, it can be hung, perpendicular to the main clothes, and can sweep away all indifference and seriousness, so it can easily become a prop for "entertainment" and satisfy people's entertainment psychology to the maximum extent. (3) The fiber of the rope is most suitable to show the charming and sexy temperament of women. In recent years, people pay more and more attention to the neutral clothing style, and how to express the femininity of women has become a very important link in clothing decoration. At this time, all kinds of transparent, hollow and soft materials BLACKPINK appeared. The softness of the rope is most suitable for showing the charming and sexy temperament of women. Its randomness and linearity can give clothing endless imagination space. It is euphemistic, gentle, gentle and charming. Whether it's a simple cross or a knot, the skin exposed through a faint rope is far sexier than a straightforward topless one. (4) The extensive use of rope decoration is a reflection of the return of post-modern decoration. Decoration is the embodiment of people's pursuit of beauty. With the development of human civilization and society, people's promotion and respect for their individual consciousness must be compensated and satisfied by decoration. From the artistic point of view, decoration is the earliest art form in human history, and it is also the most common and popular art form. Practical craft is one of the oldest arts in human history. As early as primitive society, human ancestors dressed themselves with animal bones, ivory and feathers. The development of decoration proves the prosperity of culture, and human cultural consciousness promotes the progress of decoration.

/kloc-Modern art design, which appeared in the 0/9th century, strongly denies and rejects decoration other than technology. Because it is too rational and simple, it lacks attention to people's emotions, which eventually leads to people's dissatisfaction. As a result, some people began to miss the "handicraft" and "post-modern" decorativeism, but they re-recognized decoration, paid attention to humanistic care, and pursued a compromise style of decoration and history to meet people's needs and pleasure for beauty. Reflected in clothing, with the help of decorative styles in various periods, it is presented in the form of concrete images or symbolic symbols. Knot, hang, cross, title ... All kinds of rope techniques in the history of clothing emerge in endlessly in today's clothing, and deja vu is not a complete copy of history, which is the embodiment of nostalgic decoration in the post-modern concept. (5) The diversity of ropes in fashion design can meet the requirements of multi-dimensional coexistence and personality display today. With the rapid development of science and technology, social material wealth is increasingly rich, and people's spiritual needs are also increasing. Respect for individuality and feelings has become a universal requirement. People advocate a personalized, diverse and even strange fantasy language. The same is true of clothes. It doesn't matter if it's complicated, changeable and vague. The key is to be innovative and individual. This is also a reflection of the view that "postmodernism" advocates replacing monotony with diversified development. The rope's various characteristics, changeable shapes, rich materials and decorative techniques, and its contrast and unity with clothing in color, texture, position and size have produced a variety of clothing styles. Gentle, rough, noble, simple, classical and modern. ...

Rope is a stunner used and decorated in fashion design, which is both old and fresh. The change of the rope itself can bring endless changes to the clothing. People like rope because it is beautiful and changeable. Through all kinds of ropes on clothes, we can taste the atmosphere of today's fashion and understand the trend of social culture. Of course, clothing is an organic whole. When using rope in clothing design, we must grasp the sense of proportion and pay attention to the overall harmony. Many good designs, seemingly casual use of ropes, actually include the designer's thoughts and deliberations on modeling, color, structure, materials and so on.
