What toys can be made of handmade light mud?

The first time I came into contact with handmade clay was mainly because I had to prepare her birthday present for my friend last year. That's my best friend in college. Because I like flowers, she often goes out to play and buys me a bunch of flowers. But unfortunately, she is allergic to pollen, so I can't send her flowers. So when I was thinking about the content of the gift, I thought, can I send her a bunch of handmade flowers? After searching a lot of tutorials and materials on the Internet, I decided to choose handmade clay for kneading.

Wrapped in a bouquet will be confused with the real thing.

An uncolored single flower looks like this.

The required materials are actually very simple. Materials only need clay, toner (any coloring tool can be used), wooden sticks or iron wires (used to pretend to be flower stems) and a bottle of transparent nail polish (used to add color). The main part is made of clay.

Specific steps

1 First you need to pinch a flower bud in the shape of a water drop.

2. The tip here is a stamen, which is thick and connected with a wire, and then the stamen is inserted on the wire like this.

3. Next, pinch the petals. Need a petal, a petal to pinch. First rub a small ball and knead it into this shape:

4. When pinching, pinch in the fan direction, as narrow as petals and as wide as petals. I like to pinch it by hand, which is more natural. The feeling of fingerprints is like the texture of petals themselves. You can also roll out the cylinder like a rolling pin with a wooden stick, pen or the like, and knead it like this:

Please click on the input petals. The petals can be thin or thick, depending on whether you want real flowers or cute ones. It really needs to be thinner, and it needs to be thicker if it looks cute, which will be like flesh. Enter the picture description

5. Next, just wrap the petals around the stamens, slightly tighter, as shown in the figure:

6. You can start wrapping a few pieces tightly, and you can start wrapping them loosely outside. When you stick petals outside, you should leave a little space properly. Don't let the lower part of the petal stick tightly to the bud, let it loose.

Sticking a few more pieces will be like flowers.

7. The size of the flower can be adjusted according to the shape you want. Because the clay is not completely dry (it won't stick when it is dry). Then be careful not to stick the petals together, mainly the edges of the petals together, not the middle body, otherwise it will be unnatural. If the flower is ready and there is a small round head under it, pull it off.

8. The coloring part is very simple. Just cut the toner with a knife and make it into powder. Then brush it on the petals with a brush. You can adjust the color yourself. If you choose other pigments to color, just fill them. Finally, apply transparent nail polish on the edge of the petal and pretend that it has the luster of flowers, so that it can be confused with the real thing.

When I sent flowers to my friend, she was shocked!

In addition to roses, I also pinched the chicken and the little prince with the rest of the materials:

In the process of kneading mud, I think it is not only a handmade work, but also reflects my good wishes and full hearts to my friends. The most important thing is that its materials are very cheap, and it doesn't need to be wrapped into a big bundle like fresh cut flowers, so it can be preserved for a long time. How romantic it is to send a bouquet of roses to your lover or friend that will never fade!

In short, hand-made clay sculpture is a very interesting activity. You can rub it slowly while watching TV, and you can do it very cute in your spare time. Come and try it together ~
