The fourth lecture is about the classification of creative themes of mobile phone photography.

With the development of society and the popularity of smart phones, more and more people have joined the photography team-although some people have no sense of "creation" at all, maybe they just take pictures because of "fun", intentionally or unintentionally, and don't want to take good-looking photos?

I often meet some friends who want to learn photography and ask me if there is a better way to take pictures without carrying a bulky SLR camera all day.

In fact, according to the current level of electronic technology, not only Apple and Samsung have good camera functions, but also some domestic manufacturers have excellent camera functions. As ordinary family photos in daily life and travel, their functions are basically competent.

But that doesn't mean you can take good photos with your mobile phone. The mobile phone is just an external cause, and the internal cause is still an individual. We don't require everyone to have special professional photography knowledge, but some basic knowledge and basic operation of mobile phones can still greatly affect the photography level.

Compared with digital cameras, the biggest advantage of mobile phones is portability. With the progress of electronic technology, the imaging quality of mobile phones is getting higher and higher, the standby time is getting longer and longer, and other shortcomings are not so obvious-at least for ordinary mobile phone users.

The two main limitations of mobile phone photography are fixed focal length (or small zoom range) and large depth of field.

The most obvious disadvantage is the "zoom" function of the mobile phone. Due to the limitation of the size and thickness of mobile phones, most mobile phones only have fixed-focus lenses, and the "zoom" mode can only rely on "walking". Although some brands (such as Samsung) have also introduced mobile phones with optical zoom function, they have not been well accepted by consumers because of the serious "excessive" thickness of mobile phones.

Portrait photography generally refers to photography creation activities with people and portraits as the main objects. Generally speaking, the focus is on making people "beautiful" and vivid, and other elements are not important. For example, wedding photos and personal art photos. In addition to making people beautiful and vivid, the environment in which people live, the background in the picture, their clothes and Taoist views all have certain requirements, and sometimes the "importance" of the environment is even equal to the characters themselves in the picture, such as environmental portrait photography.

People are the most frequent objects of our daily contact. We have been dealing with all kinds of people. Our family, friends and relatives, classmates, comrades-in-arms, colleagues and even strangers around us are all good subjects for our photography creation. Inadvertently, leaving their wonderful moments for our relatives and friends can be pleasing to the eye and unforgettable forever. However, not everyone can take a wonderful portrait photo at random. Good portrait works are impressive and unforgettable, while bad portrait works not only have unsatisfactory visual effects, but even make ridiculous jokes.

It is not recommended to raise your head or lower your head when taking a selfie, just try to be flush with your face.

You can use an application with this function to take multiple exposure shots.

Note: Never block the eyes of the characters!

Landscape photography

As mentioned earlier, the biggest limitation of hand holding as a camera tool is that the lens has a short focal length (equivalent to 30mm) and a large depth of field, and most of them have a fixed focal length. However, if it is more appropriate to take a pinch of scenery works with a mobile phone, some people may say that a lens with a wider angle of view is more suitable for taking scenery photos of large scenes, which is somewhat difficult for optical designers. After all, they can only choose a relatively wide focal length. If the scene you are facing is very broad and you need to shoot it all, there is also a very practical function on the mobile phone, which can not only solve the problem that the lens angle is not wide enough, but also achieve a relatively novel visual effect-panoramic shooting mode (see Chapter 3 "Special-shaped Composition").

Macro photography is a classification of photography activities. Macro photography is not mysterious. In fact, macro photography is an extension of ordinary photography. Its working mechanism, like ordinary photography, must abide by the basic laws of optics. Macro photography has its particularity, which is different from the objects we usually shoot. Generally, the objects of creation are insects, flowers, even ants, bacteria and other very small objects, which require special macro lenses to complete shooting, and sometimes involve many accessories. Flexible use of these accessories is one of the keys to macro photography.

For mobile phones, shooting macro works has advantages and disadvantages. Pro: The recent shooting distance of general mobile phones can reach about 10cm. The closer the shooting distance, the greater the image magnification, which is more conducive to macro shooting. Disadvantages: The focal length of the camera's macro lens should be at least 50mm, and some professional macro lenses reach 200 mm The longer the focal length, the better the macro photography, while the shorter the focal length of the mobile phone lens (about 30MM), which is not conducive to macro creation. But if you shoot ordinary flowers, the "macro" function of the mobile phone is enough, and it is not a problem to shoot ordinary insects with some macro accessories.
