C-stand is short for Century stand. In photography, C-stand can be combined with lights, shutters or reflectors. Its main purpose is to support or attach objects or props.

In the early film pasting process, the reflector was generally made of 100 inch "century" (brand, meaning century) cardboard, so everyone called the shelf supporting the reflector "century shelf" (stand means shelf), which was later simplified as C-shaped bracket.

Generally speaking, Chinese is called "prop rack", and some people call it "magic rack" or "magic leg/hand".
