My friend has a Sony a5 100 micro camera, and she wants me to help her shoot the starry sky. I wonder if it is possible to use that lens with a focal length of 55-200.
Generally, you will choose a wide-angle lens to shoot the starry sky. The wider the wide-angle lens, the more imposing and visual impact it will have. The medium telephoto lens is difficult to focus when the viewing angle is narrow, so it is not suitable for shooting starry sky. In addition, the slight jitter of telephoto shooting starry sky is easy to amplify. Sony's 55-200 lens is suitable for ordinary scenery, portraits and travel. You can see the instructions in the parameters:
The following are commonly used lenses, auxiliary tools and shooting techniques for shooting starry sky:
Equipment required for shooting:
SLR camera, tripod, cable, some small equipment needed for outdoor shooting, such as flashlight and mosquito repellent.
Shooting lens: To shoot the starry sky, it is best to use a wide-angle lens, and the wider the better. Fisheye lens, wide-angle fixed focus and wide-angle zoom are all good choices. From 14mm focal length to 35mm focal length, it is a good choice. The wider the sky you can photograph, the more spectacular it will be.
Shooting season: Summer and early autumn are the best, because the sky is long and the moon rises late in this season, so it will not affect the light of the stars.
Shooting time: The best time is between 10 and 2: 00 midnight.
Location: The darker the place, the better. There can't be any place where the light is messy, so the picture will be clean and won't be affected by other light. Cities, villages and other places with serious light pollution have great influence on shooting (at this time, you can put into the preparation equipment for field shooting).
Looking for stars: When shooting the starry sky, we need to find the iconic stars to focus on. We are all visible to the naked eye and have three iconic stars, so we must find the positions of these three stars. First, the Milky Way, the Milky Way is an indispensable ornament in shooting starry sky works. Second, if you shoot in the northern hemisphere, you must find the North Star. When shooting the trajectory of stars, all the stars walk in circles around Polaris. Polaris is the brightest star five times to the right of the first star in the dipper. Third, if the shooting location is in the southern hemisphere, you should be able to recognize the Southern Cross, just like the North Star.
The preparatory work has been done, and then there are some photo-taking techniques:
1). Camera erection: Install the tripod on the camera, plug in the cable releaser, and adjust the camera to the position of door B. If the camera has the function of pre-raising the mirror, we will try to turn it on.
2) Lens setting: Adjust the autofocus lens to M position and screw the focus ring to infinity.
3) Composition: A single starry sky is a bit monotonous. It is suggested that pulling some nearby objects into the foreground will have a good effect, such as trees, mountains and other objects that will not move (objects that will move after long exposure are easy to blur).
4) Parameter setting: ISO 100- 10000, aperture 1.4 to aperture 5.6 (small aperture is not needed here), and the shutter varies from tens of seconds to two hours.
I introduced some experiences in shooting the starry sky, hoping to take photos that I am satisfied with.
