How slow is the express delivery in Russia? There is a joke circulating on the Internet: A few years ago, a Russian boy bought a wedding dress on AliExpress, an e-commerce website in China. When he received the dress, the child was three years old.

This may be a joke, but Russia Post has been criticized for its inefficiency. A novice expert told her about the scene when she saw people handling parcels at the Russian post station: I saw a group of aunts in their 40 s, slowly inputting the recipient information on the parcel into the computer with one finger. It is estimated that it takes about 3 minutes to process a package. She looked gloomily at the mountain of packages in front of her eyes and thought of the pair of 20 1 13.

This was the first time that AliExpress held a double 1 1 in Russia, and it produced170,000 parcels that day, but according to the efficiency of Russian post at that time, it could only handle 30,000 parcels every day. A month later, 500 tons of parcels arrived at Russian customs, which directly led to the collapse of customs and postal systems.

Six years later, the speed of Russian Post has been rewritten.

A few days ago, Russian girl Natasha placed five orders on AliExpress, which originally took 50 days to receive, because they only charged 5 yuan RMB for logistics.

At 2: 00 a.m. on October 30th, 65438/kloc-0, more than a dozen large package containers of 1000KG were arranged neatly in the freight yard of Xiaoshan International Airport. The door of the cargo plane rookie was opened and a container package was slowly transported to the warehouse by the elevator. On the other hand, small packages are also transported to the aircraft warehouse on the rolling conveyor belt.

An hour later, the rookie cargo plane full of express parcels took off from Hangzhou Xiaoshan Airport and arrived at Moscow Airport 12 hours later. Natasha's five items are also on the plane, and she will receive the parcel about 40 days earlier than expected.

In the past, goods from China were transported to Europe, especially to Russian-speaking areas, and the logistics link was very long. Four years ago, if Russian consumers bought China products on AliExpress, it would take about one month to receive them.

Different from ordinary air charter flights, the number of e-commerce packages is large, mostly small packages, with high timeliness requirements and different customs clearance methods. If you take an ordinary charter flight and mix it with other goods, it will greatly affect the logistics efficiency, and during the promotion period, the logistics timeliness will often be greatly delayed because of the lack of space.

Last year, the rookie opened the world's first dedicated e-commerce route, which opened up a new channel for SMEs to participate in global trade. At that time, air cargo charter flights departed from Hangzhou, passed through Novosibirsk and Riga, the capital of Latvia, and finally arrived in Moscow, with 1-3 flights per week, which greatly improved the timeliness.

Due to the continuous growth of Russian business, the rookie decided to open a direct flight route and fly directly to Moscow without passing through other countries. It is understood that this Sino-Russian e-commerce freight route will carry 20 tons of goods at a time. At present, there is one flight a day. During the period of Tmall Double 1 1, the number of flights will increase to two flights a day, which will be the most frequent Sino-Russian e-commerce freight route.

Moreover, the pilots of the flight are all Russians, because Russia is prone to extreme weather such as rain, snow and fog in winter, which is a great test for aircraft technology. At the flight take-off site, the three pilots also confidently expressed their technical level, which can completely guarantee the timeliness of express delivery.

In addition, Zhao Jian, general manager of Cainiao International, said that during the Tmall Double 1 1 period, Cainiao will use more than 100 charter flights for distribution, which can fly to European and Southeast Asian cities such as Moscow, Liege, Riga and Kuala Lumpur.

Russians' love for China goods has long been famous all over the world.

According to the data of the Russian Association of Internet Trading Companies, the share of AliExpress in Russia reached 86.8%. Last year, AliExpress's sales revenue in Russia reached 21200 million rubles (about 22.5 billion yuan). According to Ali's data, more than 22 million Russian buyers are buying AliExpress, and 1 of every 6 Russians shop online on AliExpress.

China goods that Russians love to buy online are digital products, clothing and textiles. Among them, Russians love China's autumn trousers more. Last year, during Tmall Double 1 1, Russians bought more than 17000 pairs of autumn trousers to celebrate the title of "the pickpocket who loves to buy autumn trousers", completely subverting the cognition of Chinese people that "the fighting nation is not afraid of the cold".

They love chopping hands because the goods in China are cheap and good. Russian consumers like Natasha usually choose cheaper surface mail transportation when buying goods. The average logistics cost is only RMB in 5 yuan, but the logistics time limit is as long as 50 days.

In order to let Russian consumers receive parcels faster, the rookie merged several surface mail orders of the same consumer within a certain period of time through digital intelligence technology and upgraded them to air express delivery, and consumers did not need to pay extra. Each parcel also costs 5 yuan freight, which not only speeds up the express delivery to 10 day, but also tracks the parcel trajectory online, making the logistics experience very different.

For example, Natasha placed five orders a week ago, including clothing and digital products. According to the destination of Natasha, the rookie found these five surface mail orders and merged them into one air order. Natasha doesn't need to pay any more fees, but the delivery time is 40 days in advance.

According to reports, more than 40% of parcels sent to Russia through the rookie platform have been upgraded to air express for free.
