Why is SLR good?

The SLR is good and the photos taken are beautiful. The fundamental reason is that its photosensitive element area is large.

Take the entry-level SLR with APS-C format as an example. Compared with ordinary household DC with diagonal length of 1/2.3 inches, their photosensitive element area is 7 times different.

Because the photosensitive area is large, each pixel is large and receives more light, there is no need to forcibly increase the magnification of the electronic circuit to improve the brightness, the noise of the circuit will not be amplified, and the signal-to-noise ratio is high, so that the brightness of each pixel is uniform and the color is full, and the bright and dark parts of the photo picture are rich in layers, and the picture is real, soft and delicate.

Due to the large photosensitive area and the long distance between adjacent pixels, there is little interference between adjacent pixels, little influence of light penetration, sharp and clear picture, no blurring, less fogging and good transparency.

Due to the large photosensitive area, large lens size, high relative accuracy and good stray light absorption and control, the clarity of the picture is further ensured and fogging is reduced.

Because of the large photosensitive area and size, it is easy to blur the background and highlight the subject when shooting.

Because of the large photosensitive area, higher ISO can be used, and better results can be obtained in dark conditions.

Because the photosensitive element has a large area, a higher total number of pixels can be obtained.

The large area of photosensitive elements determines that the design and manufacture of SLR and its lens is a high-end professional route with high function, high quality and high precision. At the same time, it also determines its large size, heavy weight and high price.
