The hand of steel, the hand of steel, the story behind the battle group

The most common complaint about the Battle Group of Steel Hands is that their background information is too scarce. This situation was not improved until the end of the 1990s: the connection between Steel Hands and C'tan has been cited more and more, and their close connection with mechanical gods and their investment in mechanical control may expose them to void dragons, that is, C'tan (living metal) sleeping on Mars, which may be mechanical gods.

History When Ferrus manus was still at the dawn of the empire, due to a mysterious accident, the genomes of twenty emperors were scattered in the vast galaxy. One of them appeared in Medusa's world (not to be confused with Medusa V, which appeared in Medusa V's autumn campaign), and the burning trajectory slid across the sky covered with smoke clouds. His capsule slammed into the planet, and it was said that the mountains almost turned to dust. A few years later, this great soldier became famous in the world under the name of Ferrus manus. He strode forward and proudly walked among many clans and tribes in his new home. He believes that competition is conducive to progress, so he never interferes in any tribal disputes. Therefore, Feros manus is widely respected as an honorary member of every tribe, and his great (often exaggerated) legend is circulated among people. One of the legendary stories is the epic battle between protozoa and giant silver dragon Asirnoth, which is said to have a living metal shell far superior to any armor. It is said that Ferrus spent many days tracking this monster, but he couldn't defeat it by himself, and countless blows didn't produce any recognizable results. However, Feros finally drowned the monster in the magma and killed it. When Feros removed his hand from the magma, the dragon was completely destroyed. He found that his hand was covered with living metal-just like the dragon's shell. It has been suggested that Asirnoth is one of C'tan's creations, which is made of C'tan's "living metal" and is a guardian deployed on the planet to protect the possible Necron tomb and even C'tan's own habitat. Ferrus may be corroded to some extent in the process of killing dragons. Feros returned to the tribe and taught all that he had learned during his trip to those who wanted to learn. He can also make all kinds of strange but powerful tools out of metal and shape them with his own metal hands. Under his guidance, Medusa's tribe became strong and prosperous. When the sky was torn apart for the second time in the history of Medusa, all tribes were confused, and they could not give the exact answer to what this symbol might represent. Without saying a word, Feros immediately left the tribe and went to the place where the illusion landed. Weeks passed, and there was no news from Feros, but before the tribe made any decision to explore the fate of their savior, a powerful lightning storm erupted in the sky, the ground shook violently, and fear invaded everyone's heart. These events lasted for eight days. After that, it is said that the whole world fell into an unusual silence. A day later, Feros returned to the tribal Council and was escorted by a mysterious man, who was awesome but inspiring. The stories describing the actions of the two great men are complicated and varied, but most of them share a common theme, that is, a battle or a test of strength, which is the reason for this abnormal storm. No matter what happened in the mountains, everyone knows that Feros and the emperor established a close relationship based on mutual respect. Great Expedition Although the rift between the people of Medusa and the huge empire did not disappear, Feros accepted the command of the 10th Star Army, and the Legion was named the Hand of Steel to commemorate the Metal Hand of Genome. The Legion immediately joined their forces in the Great Expedition. They fought bravely in the Galaxy and wiped out all the words against the emperor. The recruitment task of the legion fell to Medusa, and Ferrus's early beneficial competition creed made the tribal soldiers far beyond the level of adapting to the harsh life of the Star Army. The legion firmly believes that the emperor's efforts to reunify mankind after the turbulent times, and that if mankind continues to split, their greatest enemy will only be themselves. The Legion also firmly believes that the weakness of human nature must be completely eradicated, which also leads to people who are unwilling to obey the emperor's leadership and teaching being singled out and killed. At the beginning of Istavern III's rebellion in Horus, Fulgrim, an old friend of Ferrus manus and the son of the emperor, tried to induce the steel hand genome to join the rebellion, but failed. Fulgrim almost died when he escaped. The rebellious anger filled the minds of Ferrus and his soldiers, so they were very grateful to Rogal Donne's order to fight against Horus and his deputies with the Dark Crow Guard and the Salamander Corps, and completely defeated them. As the second wave, an army composed of midnight lords, steel warriors, Alpha Corps and a detachment of speakers will follow and support them. The Iron Hand, the Dark Crow Guard and the Salamander Corps forcibly landed on Histavan III and seized the landing site, but they also paid a heavy price. Ferrus manus ignored the advice of Colax and volkan, frantically pursued the fleeing rebels, and at the same time looked for Fulgreen to fight with them. His elite troops, mostly composed of the Legion Terminator and the fearless mecha, followed closely. Feros and Fulgreen, two former friends, got into a fight. At this moment, Horus tightened the trap, and the commander mobilized the reserve and ordered the "fleeing" troops to stop pretending to be defeated and turn to attack. Feros's army was outnumbered and surrounded. Fulgreen defeated Ferrus in a one-on-one battle, but he couldn't convince himself to kill his old friend. A Slanis demon in Fulgren took advantage of this to seize his body and behead Ferrus. The bloody rain was followed by the Iron Hand Massacre. Fu Grim dedicated Feros's head to Horus as a proof of loyalty. Soon after, the uprising in Horus inevitably ended. Horus's army failed to attack the earth, Horus was killed, and the emperor entered the golden throne, all of which made the iron hand fall into despair after returning to Medusa. This later turned into a deep-rooted hatred for the chaotic star army and other traitors. This anger began to become the driving force of the iron hand. They begin to destroy any perceived weakness of themselves or others, and believe that their actions are beneficial to mankind. They resent that they were not on the earth in the darkest hour. They firmly believe that if they were there, they could defeat Horus without the sacrifice of the emperor. After that, they were isolated from other legions, let them play by themselves, and kept only minimal contact with subsequent legions.
