Time-lapse photography needs a stable shooting platform, and any shaking will cause jitter in the later video. Especially for shooting with large displacement delay, tripod is essential. In this example, it is a fixed position time-lapse shooting, so we don't need to consider the tracking tool used in displacement time-lapse shooting.

Settings? Intermittent shooting? Before choosing an option, you should understand the following basic knowledge: If the video frame rate you want to export is 24 frames per second, then

Shooting duration (minutes) = interval shooting time (seconds)? 24? How long do you want the clip to last (in seconds)? 60

Number of lenses =24? Length of the final desired clip (seconds)

For example, if you finally want a 20-second delayed video clip with a shooting interval of 4 seconds, then the shooting duration is 4? 24? 20? 60=32 (minutes), and the number of shots is 20? 24=480.

Note: generally shoot as much as possible. If you need a clip of 10 second, it is best that the original clip is from 15 second to 20 second, so as to leave room for the later transition and editing of the video.

4. Other settings

M range is generally selected for shooting delay, and manual focusing is used. At the same time, it is best to turn off the high-sensitivity noise reduction and automatic dark compensation functions of the fuselage (Nikon's D-lighting, Canon's highlight priority mode, Sony and Pentax's automatic HDR) to reduce the possibility of lens shake caused by the internal operation of the camera.

In addition, if you don't have high requirements for the quality of video images in the later period, you can directly choose JPG as the image format. On the contrary, we choose the RAW format to leave more room for later film adjustment.
