As a photographer who returned from studying abroad, Zhao Xiuwen has always maintained a strong creative passion. These new works make full use of light and shadow modeling to create a special atmosphere that fits the theme, with bright colors without losing the delicate texture of gold and bronze statues. Unique scenery creates a different kind of scenery, with elegant fragrance of Brahma, which makes people enter the fascinating fairyland of dialogue with Buddha.

The shooting process of Buddha statue is a pious process. In the collection exhibition hall of collector Mr. Li Wei, Zhao Xiuwen designed corresponding shooting methods according to the categories, postures and modeling characteristics of Buddha statues. As a photographer, I am lucky to get close to these exquisite ancient gold and bronze Buddha statues. In front of these ancient gold and bronze Buddha statues, the mysterious feeling and awe are vivid, such as sitting, standing, dancing, sadness and joy, all of which touch your sensitive nerves. Shooting the golden bronze Buddha statue is like practicing, which keeps me away from the noisy world and calms down to walk through it with light and shadow. They span time and space, control the causal relationship between good and evil, beauty and ugliness in the world, and make it effective.

The wonderful sculpture art of the ancients left us these treasures of the Chinese nation-Buddhist statues, which can make you experience meditation and tranquility in this noisy world, touch our hearts and talk to them, and the significance is all in it. Their past lives made us daydream and moved beyond words.

In the long history, I believe in love at first sight. As a photographer, I am exposed to the magnetic fields of many ancient Buddha statues. When the lens and lights come into contact with the wonderful images produced on these Buddha statues, the ancestors' Buddhist sculpture art is like meeting lovers, attracting each other and gaining spiritual experience from them, enjoying the touch and nourishment brought by Buddhist sculpture art, during which I tried to capture the traces of history and modernity with the gentlest light and shadow. Or light, or temperature, or texture, let's share silent meditation and witness the moment and eternity of short life in an impermanent world!
