Everyone's expectations can already be felt from it. In this era when fashion sense is a little insensitive, there will be a sense of backwardness. I can get so much long-term trust and love-moved and grateful. I don't want to say anything more, but I can only do my best to devote myself to the work and meet everyone's expectations. The new album has been going on, although there are some minor twists and turns in the middle, it should be released in the second half of the year.

In this collection of photographic essays, I recorded a travel life in Greece with images and words. At the same time, I am also the one who is recorded and filmed. With the help of this visual diary of words+photography+photos, I will revisit the ancient city-states near the Aegean Sea and share with readers the thoughts and thoughts of oriental visitors in ancient western civilization. If there is anything I expect, it is that I expect to connect to more resonating bodies through it-just as we look for resonance in music.

Share a little in the process of writing a book.

The content of Soul of the Sea 1/3 is me under the photographer's lens. Change the commonly used foreign words, and then "photo".

Photos, photos, write down the truth. But Hiroshi Sugimoto, the master photographer, bluntly said: "It is a lie to say that photos can't lie." As far as ordinary portrait photography is concerned, we are always pursuing various angles, various compositions, various lighting, various early and late software and hardware technologies, and taking "making a person more temperament, better looking, more attractive and more story-telling" as the "good" standard, right?

But this time, I tried more possibilities with the photography team of the French magazine brand le figaro. In the whole process of follow-up, I discussed with the photographer and reached a consensus that whether the scenery or people are beautiful or not, it is better. It is meaningless for me to make a "good-looking" but "good-looking" blockbuster that feels almost like he has shot countless artists. We must give up posture, routines, excessive manipulation of light and shadow, and even the concept of photos: we don't have to consider that these photos will be published with words, but we must set in our minds that these photos will not be seen by anyone, but will only be placed in the photo frame on our desk as a souvenir-can we let go of the shackles of our subconscious and make the photos more pure?

After coming back from Greece, the photographer sent more than 7000 photos, which shocked me. I had no friends around. But it didn't take me many days to pick out a hundred cards from this huge number. Every picture decides whether to choose or not almost at a glance. "Let emotions flow in pages of pictures" is the main basis for selecting and sorting out these nearly 100 photos.

The second 1/3 content is my photography. Taking pictures with them is a habit of many people, but the perspective is different. I have always believed that true feelings are always dull. I have hardly photographed the iconic scenery. I think they are tired of being photographed, so there is no need to disturb them. I only take ordinary photos that make me "have something to say".

By the way, I was very sad to see the news pictures of melon farmers and urban management yesterday. I wrote a song when similar cases happened before. Unexpectedly, before the song was published, the tragedy was staged in such a short time. Just like I wrote "robbing Peter" in "Sugra without a Bottom", the passage of time has never changed anything, so even if I include my next album, it will still be appropriate. In the past, when the media asked me what plans or dreams I had next, I always replied blankly, I didn't have a dream. Really, a person who has been talking about dreams for more than half a century is very boring. Open your eyes and look at the life in front of you and everything around you. Live every day in a down-to-earth manner. As for the belief in the bottom of my heart-it goes without saying that it is confirmed.

1/3 The last content is my words. I didn't narrate every photo in "Sea Lights", nor did I choose the one-to-one arrangement of pictures and texts. Sometimes words are the protagonist, and it seems that it has nothing to do with photos; Sometimes, a series of photos are connected in series without a word; Sometimes the handwritten notes are simply scanned into the book-in a word, casually. Talk about Greek history, Greek philosophy, Greek drama, talk about wine, food, beautiful scenery ... you can write freely without any restrictions.

Therefore, Soul of the Sea is neither an album nor a personal photo, nor a collection of essays-but it is all.

Soul of the Sea is not a "peripheral product", but a core work like my music album. I don't know how many photos of the same type are communicated between the protagonist and the photographer, such as selecting photos, writing, typesetting, specifying binding methods and paper texture, but at least I did it seriously. You can't say I'm dedicated, because I don't regard it as a job at all-I just like what I do. If readers can feel a little bit of the author's mind after reading it, it would be nice to have a little unclear aftertaste.
