How to use colornavigator 6

ColorNavigator software developed by Etro makes calibration easier and can generate predictable color effects. ColorNavigator can be used with all kinds of measuring equipment, and can complete accurate and reliable calibration in a few minutes by directly using the lookup table displayed by ColorEdge.

Calibration to preset value or user-specified value

System default value

Provide default values for web content, photography and printing *. Just select one item, click Adjust, and ColorNavigator can start calibration. For users with limited knowledge of color management, it is no longer necessary to set values by guessing.

System default value

Take pictures of ...

Brightness: 100 cd/m2, white point: 5500K, gamma: 2.2.

print

Brightness: 80 cd/m2, white point: 5000K, gamma: 2.2.

Network content

Brightness: 80 cd/m2, white point: 6500K, gamma: 2.2.

User specified value

Experienced users can specify the required values of brightness, white point and gamma, and then perform calibration.

Calibration parameter

Brightness *

clever

30 cd/m2–200 cd/m2 in increments of 5 cd/m2.

You can set the minimum and maximum values displayed.

Black level

0.2 CD/m2–3.5 CD/m2 (in increments of 0. 1 CD/m2)

You can set the minimum value of the monitor.

white dot

Color temperature is 4000k–10000k, and the increment is 100 K.

Color coordinate x value, y value

microgram

1.0–2.6, 0. 1 increment, and L*, LUT file.

The range that can be set depends on the display or sensor.

Paper whiteness measurement

The paper whiteness measurement function can achieve better color matching between the displayed image and the printed image. By measuring the whiteness of the paper to be printed, ColorNavigator can automatically set the corresponding brightness and white point target values. (This function is not available for ColorEdge monitors with built-in calibration sensors. )
