Seven Skills of Shooting Macro
First, the large aperture:
This is the first point. When taking macro shots of flowers and insects, you must be familiar with the lens in your hand, even if it is an irreplaceable camera lens like A95 (the most important thing is that the camera should have a manual shooting mode). Under the premise of proper light and sufficient illumination, open the aperture of the lens as large as possible (of course, the aperture of the lens itself is composed of 9 blades, and this aperture has the best out-of-focus imaging and the most natural blur effect) to blur the background of the subject. What can I choose here? Aperture priority? Mode or manual mode, I prefer the latter. For example, Canon's famous Budweiser -EF 100 MMF2.8U can choose the maximum aperture F2.8 for shooting. However, the lens quality of some consumer machines is worse than that of the unprofessional 135 macro head portrait. When you are completely close to the subject, you can appropriately narrow the aperture by one or two steps to ensure the imaging level and clear image quality.
Second, the long focal length:
The simple understanding is: when shooting, try to use the longest focal length of the lens, such as EF70-200mmF2.8LU, and use 200mm focal length. This has one of the biggest advantages-a long focal length can compress the distance of the scene and blur the background to highlight the main body.
Third, close range:
This question is also very simple. When you shoot, the closer the camera lens is to the subject, the narrower the clear range of the scene (the shallower the depth of field), and then your subject will become more prominent, exquisite and delicate. However, the premise is that the camera lens should be able to focus manually or automatically when it is closest to the scene. Otherwise, no matter how focused, it can't be clear. Is it funny that the camera doesn't work well?
Fourth, the big contrast background
This may be the biggest headache for everyone. What can I do to make the background highlight the subject I want to shoot as much as possible and express it? Everyone must have noticed that the sunset is particularly eye-catching under the dim sky! Look straight into your eyes. Sometimes you don't seem to notice other objects around you, do you? This is because bright objects need a dark background to set off, which is clearer and brighter. On the other hand, dark objects also need a bright and vivid background to set off their lines. So, when we photograph flowers, insects or other objects, do we need them? Use dark (background) to light (color subject)? 、? Have light (background) to support deep (color subject)? . This is a eight-character decision, remember!
Verb (abbreviation for verb) far background
How to understand this? It's simple: if you can't effectively blur the background by using the above four tricks at the same time, then the problem is that your subject is too close to your background, so that the background is still within the clear range of depth of field! So, if the shooting site allows, you can move the subject (such as potted plants) freely? Then, as long as you move the subject away from the background, you can ensure your shooting requirements to the greatest extent-blur the background and highlight the subject.
Six, tripod and accessories
Especially when the light is dim (such as sunrise and sunset) and there is no support (such as lamp poles, branches, mounds, bean bags, etc.). ), it's really hard to imagine how to shoot without a stable tripod. Because macro photography often emphasizes the quality of images, it is obviously not wise to improve the sensitivity at this time!
Advice to color friends: in order to have high quality. PP, tripod and cable release (or selfie) are essential!
The accessories mentioned here refer to flash (ordinary or special ring light for macro shooting) and reflector, which can give full play to your talents and get what you want when the subject and background need supplementary light!
Special reminder: pay attention to control the output intensity of the flash. If the output light is too strong, it will lead to no theme level and no vitality! Of course, we should make the best use of natural light, and it is also a last resort to fill the light.
Seven, light
Light, light, light-this is the magic hand of photography! Curse!
I don't remember who said that: Painters paint with pigments and photographers paint with light? ! Is it awesome? We can use light, just like Superman? ! However, if the light is used improperly or we don't know enough about the light, even if we have exhausted the six tricks mentioned above, it will be futile.
In fact, macro photography needs side light, side backlight and backlight with strong modeling ability. In this light, the subject will shine and be full of vitality, because these lights will reveal the outline, beautiful lines and the most touching details of the subject!
We must pay attention to accurate exposure here, and it is best to use spot metering (it is best if we can prepare a standard gray board for standby); If the camera itself does not have the function of point measurement, most friends use digital anyway, and various exposure combinations will be exposed several times until they are satisfied. I don't remember any elder saying:? Painters use addition (constantly adding color), and photographers use subtraction (removing the rough and preserving the fine, only expressing and highlighting what they need)? ! This is an iron law when using light to express the subject!
We shouldn't always be reluctant to choose the beautiful scenery in the frame. We didn't know that this would drown our subject in boring and irrelevant sundries and finally get a scrap film. We must resolutely abandon unnecessary parts to reach the peak of glory (ha! Don't hit me, I can't remember it's what the big shot said! Photography skills
In the final analysis! Everyone's shooting methods and expression ideas are ever-changing, but there is only one purpose-to highlight the subject and let the expression form serve the outstanding content! This is our refuge!
