The first step is to select points. According to the habit of shooting birds, choose some places where birds may gather. The red-headed and long-tailed tit is a small bird with a chestnut head, a blue-gray back, a raised tail and wedge-shaped white spots on its outer tail feathers. The chin and throat are white, with black patches in the middle of the throat, and the chest and abdomen are white or light brown. For those with white chest and abdomen, the chest is maroon and the sides are maroon. It is a resident bird in mountainous areas, mainly inhabiting between mountains and shrubs, and also found in small forests near orchards, tea gardens and other human settlements. Therefore, it is understood that this shooting benefited from the preliminary preparation of the fans and chose a small forest in Wuhan Botanical Garden as the shooting point.

The second step is to build piles. The main purpose is to lure birds to fly and stand at a fixed point by feeding. It is necessary to build fixed-point photography piles, supplemented by flowers and fruits, which can not only attract birds, but also add color to photos. Throwing food is also skillful. Some people eat insects, others eat flowers and fruits, mainly for their own enjoyment. This time, in order to attract red-headed and long-tailed tits to sprinkle honey on flowers and fruits, a lover specially brought honey and sprinkled it on flowers and fruits from time to time, and then waited for the arrival of birds and the pleasure of shooting. Hopeful waiting is a kind of excitement.

The fourth step is to select films. Full memory cards and thousands of photos brought by high-speed continuous shooting can't all be good films. Shooting birds is a kind of extensive farming with poor harvest. So it's a heavy workload to go home after filming. One in a hundred, finding a good photo that you are satisfied with is the basis of the work.

The fifth step is the later stage. In the era of digital photography, post-modification can not be ruled out, and so can bird films, which need cutting, secondary composition, retouching, ashing, brightening and artistic conception. Post-production of photography is also a technical activity of witness level, which is indispensable and only depends on basic skills.
