Guilin Academy of Fine Arts was founded in 194 1. Lv Mushi (1923- 1966), formerly known as Lv Ying, is a native of Guilin, Guangxi, the son-in-law of Ma Wan Li, the husband of Ma Huixian, a famous contemporary painter, and the honorary president of Ma Wanli Chinese Painting Art Research Association. 65438-0944 Graduated from Guilin Academy of Fine Arts, member of Hunan Branch of China Artists Association. He studied Chinese painting and western painting under Ma Wanli and Xu Beihong, and was good at painting birds and animals and landscape figures. His works are unique and exquisite, and he has held solo exhibitions and joint exhibitions all over the country for many times. 1966 at the beginning of the cultural revolution, he died unfortunately because of persecution. His representative works include One Scene of Huangshan Mountain, One Hundred Generations after the Wind, Plank Road of Three Gorges, Piercing the Blue Sky, When the Clouds in Wansongling Mountain Open, etc.

Lv Mushi was born in a poor family in the city. He is simple, honest, decisive and upright. He likes painting since he was a child. Because his family was poor, he sold paintings to supplement his family when he was in his teens. 194 1 autumn, he was admitted to the first phase of Chinese painting department of Guilin Academy of Fine Arts and studied Chinese painting under Ma Wanli. 1944 After graduating from Guilin Academy of Fine Arts, he worked as an art teacher in Yongfu Middle School and 1946 Guilin Pingle Middle School. 1948 donated about 40 works of flowers, birds, figures and landscape paintings to the ethnic middle school founded by Comrade Panshan in Lingui, and exhibited them in Hengyang and Changsha. In the autumn of the same year, Tang Daochang, a classmate of Guilin Art Institute, a professor of Hunan Conservatory of Music, Qin and Yuan Gongliang went to Changsha to organize the "Oriental Art Institute", and donated more than 30 works to raise funds to establish the school, which was exhibited in Changde and Hanshou in the spring of 1949, and joined the "Hunan Branch of China Artists Association". In the same year's art festival exhibition (March 25), his painting "Double Peacocks" and "Looking through Autumn Water" in cooperation with Tang Daochang participated in the exhibition, which was well received in the newspaper.
