●Admission principles and methods:

(1) The following professional directions of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts have been open to both arts and sciences since 2007: Art Design, Architecture and Environmental Art Design, Furniture Art Design , new media art design, dyeing and weaving art design, film and television art, industrial design and fashion design and engineering, the enrollment ratio of science candidates shall not exceed 15% of the planned number of this major. The remaining majors recruit liberal arts candidates.

(2) Candidates must take the professional examination organized by the college, and their scores must reach the minimum admission control line of the college. Candidates applying for the Fine Arts (Art Education) major should take the Guangdong Province Art Undergraduate Unified Examination and reach the Guangdong Province Art Undergraduate Admission Score.

(3) The scores in cultural courses and foreign language subjects must meet the cut-off points set by our college.

(4) Priority will be given to candidates whose professional scores are on the line and who rank in the top 50 in cultural scores (excluding fine arts majors in the Department of Art History). The number of priority admissions for the same major shall not exceed 50% of the number planned for that major.

(5) On the basis of both cultural scores and professional scores, all majors (except the art major of the Department of Art History) will be admitted based on the comprehensive score of "professional scores × 2 + cultural scores". Admission will be based on the same major points and foreign language points.

(6) The Fine Arts Major (Art) of the Department of Art History, on the basis of both cultural scores and professional scores, will be admitted from high to low according to cultural scores. The same score will be divided into major points and foreign language points. Admission is based on merit. Fine Arts (Liberal Arts) follows the Guangdong Province's second batch of liberal arts score lines (history selection test), and admissions are based on the highest to lowest cultural scores.

(7) Priority will be given to first choice candidates in each major.

Candidates who cannot be admitted to their first choice will be admitted to their second choice and subsequent majors (except for the fine arts major of the Department of Art History) after deducting 10 points from their overall score.
