The Longxi-Hongkou National Nature Reserve in Dujiangyan, Sichuan, is the largest national nature reserve in the country. One of the 67 giant panda reserves, it is directly connected to the two largest wild giant panda populations in the world, the Minshan Mountains and the Qionglai Mountains. It is a key area and "natural corridor" for the survival and reproduction of giant pandas. There are about 11,000 known animal species in the reserve, including 50 species of national key protected animals, 10 species of national Class I key protected animals, and 40 species of national Class II protected animals. There are 2,537 species of higher plants recorded here in 225 families, 970 genera, among which 13 species are nationally protected wild plants, including yew, involucrata, involucrata, orchids and other rare and endangered wild plants, as well as rhododendrons. , Chonglou, pod fern and other wild resource plants with high ornamental, medicinal and edible value.
