Paternity identification method

Paternity identification is a kind of identification method that many friends will carry out, and the most accurate method is DNA paternity method. DNA paternity method needs to detect blood, hair and oral cells of both sides. The sampling method is relatively simple, and the rest is to wait for the results. At present, the accuracy of DNA paternity's method can reach nearly 100%.

What are the simplest methods for paternity testing?

1. Appearance comparison

Because of genetic relationship, if they are close relatives, they all have some similarities in appearance. This is the most traditional way to determine the parent-child relationship by looking at the appearance. The accuracy of this method is also relatively poor, and now you can make a reference.

Step 2 test relatives by breaking bones

This is a drop of blood on the bones of the deceased, to determine whether the two are related. If the blood can go deep into the bone, it is relevant. But from the point of view of modern medicine, this method is not scientific, but it is the earliest method to confirm the parent-child relationship through blood type matching test.

Blood drop test relatives

This method is often seen in costume dramas, and the blood of the identified person is biological. This method was first recorded in the forensic works of the Song Dynasty. However, this method is not scientific. Actually, it doesn't matter if it has anything to do with blood.

How to do paternity test

1.DNA parentage

It is the most commonly used method for paternity testing at present, and this method is relatively simple, and blood, body surface hair and oral cells can be used, which is very convenient.

Principle: Under normal circumstances, a person has 23 pairs of dyes, each pair is two, usually from his father and mother respectively. As long as a certain number of DNA loci are detected, if they are the same as their parents, they are biological, otherwise they will be suspicious. If only 1-2 loci do not match, more loci should be detected because of the possibility of gene mutation. If more than three loci do not match, it is basically not a parent-child relationship.

2. Blood type paternity test

This is to test their blood types and compare their blood types to distinguish whether they are biological or not.

Principle: Mendel's genetic law points out that a person's blood type will be passed on to the next generation, so the blood type of a child is closely related to that of his parents. At present, there are many blood group systems to identify true and false, and the more blood group systems are detected, the higher the accuracy.

In addition, in the last century, experts found that the antigens of white blood cells can also be used as reference data, and the detection with blood group system can achieve high accuracy.

3. Chromosome polymorphism paternity test

This was discovered in the 1980s, and doctors can tell whether it is their own by the polymorphism of chromosomes.

Principle: Most normal people have some slight variation in chromosome morphology, and this polymorphism can also be inherited. However, this technology mainly depends on the observation and judgment of technicians, so the accuracy is not very high.
